It seems to work when you kind of push the button to the right. Not always the first try.

I found this camra in the cuboard it was my dads has not been touched fo at least 3 years and i am doing a photography course but the camra will not turn on

Is the battery fully charged? If the battery pack was in the camera the entire time then it's probably no good now and needs to be replaced. You also want to check inside the battery compartment for any signs of corrosion.

I droped the camra and it will turn on but when I turn it on is says "please turn camra on and off again" and when I do it it will say the same thing.

Turn off the Camera and remove the Battery from it. Then, gently hit twice or thrice near the lens with your palm. Next, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.

After performing all the above steps, insert the Battery and make sure that it's fully charged. Then, turn ON the Camera and check if it's working.

If the camera keeps on acting, then it needs to opened to repair the malfunctioning Hardware.

The kodak easyShare z740 camra i have purchesed will not turn on

For Z740 camera the batteries should be AA Ni-MH batteries it will provide a maximum power on the camera. Now if your using the battery and its fully charged still wont turn On.

are you using rechargeable batteries? if you are, please try installing new, regular batteries in and see what happens.

If you have tried regular batteries, check to see if anything is blocking the lens housing.

Everytime i turn on my camra it turns off again

Make sure that you are installing a fresh/ full charge battery
Remove the battery
Clean the metal contacts on the battery using a clean cloth

Pls test with an alt. batt.
If you do not have access to a dif. battery.

Pls. take the batt out of the camera. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the batt. If not you will need to order a No power repair.

I just got my camra a few days ago and i put new batteries in then 1 day later i had to put new ones in, then i take about 2 or 3 pics and my camra turns off on its own...what is wrong with it?

Are you still using alkaline batteries? If so, alkaline batteries just don't have the power for more than a few pictures in a digital camera. Some may also have reached their shelf life, and though right out of the package may even have problems just powering startup of the camera. Digital cameras that use AA's for the most part should only be used with rechargeable NiMH batteries. If you read the camera's instruction manual concerning batteries, you may see the same recommendation.
Keep in mind rechargeable batteries will save you money in the long run over alkalines, AND they'll last for at least 100 pictures per charge (and probably many many more). You'll be very pleased with their performance, and may be angry with yourself for not buying them sooner. When at the store, look on the package for a power rating of at least 2500 mah.

Lens is stuck

Hi,
This happens when the camera is in the ON state and the battery power drains out completely. Please recharge the batteries or insert charged batteries and the lens would get closed automatically.
Please let me know if that works.

Thanks and Regards,
Srinivas

Finepix z10

Check to make sure your battery pins are touching the connections on the battery. You might have to bend them slightly towards the battery to make a better connection. Else, I would get in touch with Fuji's support team. Good luck. -JHOBBS
