So I will explain this as best as possible. A few months ago my computer started taking a couple cycles to start up now it refuses to start up. I will power it up and the lights will start up and for about 20 seconds it appears to start up except the screen stays black and after about 20 seconds it will start the cycle all over again. I let it sit for about a month and tried to start it today and after a few cycles it started up. Right now it froze beeped at me once I control alted deleted it unfroze. I really miss using my laptop so what could it be.

Re: Hp 6225 Pavillion Will not fully turn on.
If you can go to their website, and search your machine, I am sure you will see that this is a known issue with several models. They are offering a free one time fix even if out of warranty. I know this because I just got the box to ship my wifes laptop back for the same thing.

There are a few ways to attempt this one is take it in to a shop they can access it with special software. Or download your own special crack software or re-install you operating system using the recovery disc that came with your laptop. Try removing the CMOS battery as well for about 10 minutes or so. Sometimes this will work Also call them they have bypass codes they use to get your through as well. My suggestion would be to call them and have them walk you through it and explain it further if your not computer swavy.
if your computer is still under warranty take it in if not you might have to buy a cooling dock or buy a fan and swap the old one in for anew one personally i would not do it my self if i didn't know haw to work it but take it in to a best buy and they will fix it for like twenty or thirty dollars
Have you tried to boot into safemode ( f8 on boot before windows comes up, then select safemode ) and then when you get into windows do a system restore to a point before you got hit then use adaware andspybot search and destroy and then instal AVG best AV software I have ever seen.
i could repair it in 1hr but i'm in jamaica. so , next options may a day or two max. you see this is a small problem to pull the lappy apart and replace with new hinge cover and whatever else is damage. the only problem is availability of the damage body part. remember the rating . thanks.
remove the primary battery and plug the computer into an AC outlet using the AC adapter. If the computer starts up, one of the batteries need to be replaced. If the battery light on the of the comoputer is blinking, the battery has reached a low batery level, which may not allow the computer to start up. Plug the computer into an AC outlet using the AC adapter to start the computer and allow the battery to charge.
