Press the MODE button repeatedly until the Ct symbol shows on the LCD screen. Press the shutter release button within five seconds to activate continuous shoot mode. Hold down the shutter release button and the camera will rapidly and repeatedly take photos.
This sounds like the same problem I had. I could not find a solution without losing the photos that I had already taken. Try reseting the camera. In the menu clear all the photos out of memory. If the picture counter doesn't reset you may need to physically kill power to the camera (by pulling out the batteries) this will delete any photos in memory and reset the photo counter. Once you are sure that the memory is empty. Try taking some test photos and reconecting to the computer to see if the software sees the new photos. You may want to delete and reload the camera drivers before you connecting the camera.
