Dryer problem Front panel controls work normally. Hit the start button but no action/no error codes. The timer counts-down like the dryer is working normally.
Don't know if I'll be able to help you with this or not. Give me the make and full model number.
How old is the unit? Anything unusual happen before this? Does it make any noise at all? Are you setting for automatic dry or timed dry? If you let the counter run, how long will it go before it stops? (5 minutes, 40 minutes?) Any other info might help.Don't know if I'll be able to help you with this or not. You need to check your schematics on the electrical and find, then replace the sensor that controls the timer, then the reverse action. It may need removed then replaced to reset. Be very careful and aware of the eletricity going through the system.
The reasons can be a fault on the program controller unit but as the door does not close the program also will not move further. This must be the clue to the fault. Remove and check the lock and the settings. manually close the door with force and see if the program cycle starts, if not check the door switch and the control panel. Also check for output when the timer counts down. If not the controller unit must be checked for possible problems.
I am having the same problem. Dried towels last night. This morning, I loaded it, turned it on, it did not lock the door or start drying (spinning) but the timer started counting down. I pressed Cancel twice, unplugged it for a few minutes then tried again. Problem still exists. Any suggestions?
