Question about Epson Stylus NX400 InkJet Printer
I found a solution to the same prolem that you guys have. I took the cartridges out and shook them horizontally, instead of vertically, with the large surface up for 3-4 seconds. Re-inserted them back in. Then I started seeing on the LCD "Recharging Cartridge". When it returned to regular copy screen, I turned the printer off and turned it back on. No more error message. It's been working for almost a day now. Try it to see if that works for you. Good Luck.
FYI. I just bought NX400 last Friday. The error message came on this morning.

If you have re-inserted the inks, then you might have a faulty ink cartridge. M88/69 indicates Magenta is not recognized and B88/69 is for black. You can have the store replace those inks for you or contact Epson tech support.
