Have you put the drivebelt around the motor spindle - the instructions don't make it too clear. The belt is already on the underside of the turntable, you just need to put a finger through the hole in the turntable, pull the belt out and hook it over the motor spindle. After that, if you've pressed the power button (back right), you should see the 33rpm light come on. If it's on, press either of the 2 big buttons on the left hand side and the motor should turn. You can check by looking through the hole in the turntable & see if the motor spindle is turning. If none of the above work then you have a faulty unit.

Excuse me for stating the obvious but did you check your control panel to see if there is a setting for the turntable? You may have accidentally turned it off.

Forgive me for not knowing what any of these parts are really called. My friend just shipped me an NAD 533 turntable & when I received it the cover was cracked and the hinges broken, the round weight...

My suggestion to you, if you really need a turntable is to find one at a flea market, since the ones you currently find in the market are "professional" quality, and are very expensive. The same applies to the stylus (needle). The reason they give you when you ask why: They are somewhat of an oddity nowadays, after CDs, DVDs, and now Bluray!
Good luck!

Sears Tape deck/Turn table skipping!

Hi the pennies will mess up the stylus. There should be an anti skate setting at the back of the turn table, a round adjustable bit with numbers, increase the anti skate and then use the balance weigth (weight right at the back of the arm that turns to get the weight right. Set the anti skate with the tone arm light, then increase the weight a bit. Hope that helps

We have a Thomas Pacconi record player and the band underneither the turntable has stretched out. The band is black, about 1/4" wide, and round. Can you help us.

TBirdMM, thanks for the advice. I was turning that dial this morning tweaking the rpms and it worked! Strangely enough I actually broke the white dial off, but when I spun a 33 on the 78 setting it played right on! Thanks!

Does anyone know why that dial only effects the 78rpm setting, and if there is a dial for the 33 rpm setting?

Hi,

Unfortinetly i cant recommend to you a quick fix or a quick check as the fault seems to be intermittent,
i would suggest taking the player to your cdj pioneer dealer.

The belt on my turn table came lose

01- Remove the rubber cushion.
02- Remove the Turntable Platter
03- Place your drive belt around the ridge inside the platter
(Make sure that it is not twisted)
04-Place your Turntable Platter back on the unit
05-rotate your platter until you can see a brass knob through one of the round holes in the turntable. (Your belt must be placed around the brass knob) The best way is to take a toothpick and carefully slide it under the drive belt and then pull it out enough that you can place it around the knob. I had the same problem and the above works. If you still have problems getting it back on contact me 352-377-1828......

Microwave turntable does not turn

I have the exact microwave you do (ems8000w), the motor failed and I found this one worked perfectly as a replacement.

The original is impossible to find.

Belt

On the bottom of the silver platter, there is a round lip.put the belt around that. Then put the platter back on the table and turn the wheel until you get to the motor, which is the gold pin on the left, and put the belt over that.
