I want to ''system link 2 PS3's to each other to allow multiplayer

I would like to link 2 ps3's together for multiplayer gaming without an internet connection. My friend has a ps3 and I have one, we have tried using a crossover cable to connect the two via the network cards, we have done this with our X-box consoles, but cannot seem to get the same result with ps3. Is it even possible to do so and could you explain how to connect them if so.

The game you are playing should give you the option to make a local game. Not all games have that feature

hello. if your ps3 is connected to a router, it will still work even if its not connected to the internet. and the good about the router is that it will assign the IP addresses for the console. so you do not need to do it manually. hope this helps

When im playing online multiplayer with my friends i get kicked out... It says lost connection to the host but my internet signal strength is between 70 and 95 %.... I can not play one full game without it...

your wireless router is loosing enough packets to drop the connection. for a test try to use a cable to connect your ps3 and see if you still get kicked. if not then consider running a cable or replaing your router.

Turn off PS3 system..
1: Reset your modem by unplugging it from the main power source.
2: After a few minutes, plug modem power back into modem. Allow all connections to configure
3: Turn on PS3 system.
4: Go to "Settings" then scroll all the way down to "Network Settings"
5: Make sure that the "internet connection" (the second menu) is "Enabled"
6: Go to "Internet Connection Settings" and go through the motions again.

Good luck.

My ps3 frezze wen i play call of duty black ops multiplayer

Hmm... This reminds me (as best as the limited detail can) of the issue when GTA:IV came out and if you had wireless enabled it crashed the system as well... Rockstar endedup having to release a patch to fix the issue, but I think if that was the case, the message boards accross the net would be flooded with the same kind of email.

A few simple things... A- Double check to make sure multiplayer is working with any other game you have that you have not experienced this problem with. B- Try reseting your internet connection in the system settings menu C- How is your PS3 connected, wired or wireless... If it's possible, try switching to the opposite connection type see if that helps. That's what I did for GTA:IV prior to the patch being released

I can't use my wireless controllers on my PS3 unless their plugged in and charging. When I unplug them and push the PS3 button in the middle, all four lights just blink about 4 or 5 times and then turn...

plug in the controller before you turn on your ps3 then turn on the ps3 by the system. after the system starts press the ps button on the controller after it stops blinking and only one light is on unplug it. it should be linked together.

HOW DO I CONNECT MY TWO PS3 TO EACH OTHER TO PLAY MULTPLAYER

I'm pretty sure the only way to connect two PS3s together for multiplayer is to go online and play over the PlayStation Network. Of course, to do things that way, you'd have to have two copies of the games you're wanting to play--one disc for each console. Most games that are multiplayer can played that way on one console, though. You just need two controllers (or more, depending on the game and how many people you're wanting to have play).

When trying to play a game player 2 controller will not work. it says not registered on the internet

A lot of the games for the ps3 are only multiplayer via the internet. Therefore, if you are not registered on the playstation network, you will not be able to play any multiplayer games. If you have internet capability, just set up an online account...its free...and if you do not have the internet, then you are basically SOL... hope this helps, if so...please rate... you can respond with any questions and i will answer them asap....thanks

PS3

Ps3 supports over 1000 ps1 and ps2 titles. Make sure you hook your ps3 up to the internet and download the latest firmware updates. Odds are your system will be able to play all or most of your ps2 games once you update the ps3 online.
