Question about Insignia IS-LCDTV32 32 in. Television
Bought from Best Buy Feb '08 and after about 10 months the remote control stopped working. It strated out as an intermittant problem and now has become permanent. We changed batteries; programmed the Bose system remote and the DVD player remote as well, all without remedy. What can I do? Thanks!
If you have a cell phone with a camera on it, aim the remote at the camera and look at the screen on your phone. Press a button on the remote, and see if you can see the light blinking on the remote, on the cell phone screen. If you can, at least you know the remote's working.
If it is, check to see that there is nothing blocking the line-of-sight to the screen.
Finally, when all else fails, try a cheap universal remote. Go through the manual programming steps.
After that, the only solution is a faulty IR sensor in the unit itself. Bring it in to a repair depot....you should probably still be under warranty.
