Re: x box not turning on
Sadly, the original Xbox power supplies are rather weak against overloading. I personally know of 3 systems which died due to power issues. I really wouldn't suggest repairing it unless you have someone who really knows what they are doing.

i believe the voltage in India is in the 230-240 volt range here in America around 110 volt if that is the case you might need to talk to the Nintendo repair center http://www.nintendo.com/corp/distributors.jsp i wish you the best of luck
dont worry, open the ps2 by yourself or take to mechanic , take out the main circuit, which will be burnt , a good mechanic will know to short circuit it, this will known by all basic electronic person , it will cost you not more than 200rs. he might change capacitor ,
When it says ORANGE on the Power box, that means that the Power box is waiting for the console to be connected, You might wanna try another power box if you have a friend or relative nearby, and if another power box does the same thing, then you can call xbox support to check the warranty of your xbox 360, then send it in for repairs
FYI: The light on the power supply should be GREEN in order for the console to turn on
