Question about JVC KD-G210 CD Player

Wiring Harness Two of my wires have been pulled out the harness for my jvc kd-g210 stereo. One of the wires is the yellow battery wire and the other is the purple positive right rear speaker wire. Can i replace the wires with another that have similar or the same characteristics. If so, at which points in the harness are they positioned?

I had some two conductor wire, which is used generally for alarms or for low voltage items, umm what i would recommend is you can use some of the two con for the Purple positive on your harness, but get something a bit thicker in gauge for the Yellow battery, use something more that would accutaly hold better power that you can use in terms of powering items, you should be able to get away with using something like that sorry if this isnt too much help, best bet is using alternative wires, otherwise try a Radio Shack they might have a Radio Harness or even bestbuy

I need a wiring diagram for a JVC KD-R805 installation

For putting it into what kind of car? Or did you mean the radio harness itself? Red is constant 12v, yellow is Accessory 12v, Black is the ground. Solid blue is power antenna, blue with a stripe is a 12v accessory meant to power the amp (AKA AMP REM), White is front left speaker, gray is front right. Purple is rear left, green is rear right and any of the white, gray, green or purple wires with a black stripe is the negative for that speaker. If you post a reply with a vehicle model and year I can give you the factory wire harness colors as well.

I need help..

make sure you have the power wires correct. yellow should be hot all the time and red is for when thr ignition is on... you may have them backwards, or the ignition line isn't getting power...double check your power source and the fuses.

Wont keep memory

Most stereo manufacturers agreed on a color-coding scheme for their wiring to keep things consistent. In that scheme, red wires are run to power (ie, the battery) and serve as the ignition-switched power leads (so when the engine is shut off, the head unit also shuts off), black wires are grounds, and purple, gray, green, and white are used for the main four speakers. Blue is an antenna and/or amplifier turn-on wire. Orange is a dimmer wire (for cars with dimmers on the dash lights, this can be tapped in to also dim the head unit's lighting). Yellow wires are typically the memory wires. These feed power to the head unit constantly, regardless of whether the car is on or not, so that memory presets and tone settings are maintained. Your JVC unit should have a yellow wire coming off the back as part of the harness - this would be the one to supply power. You can run this directly to the battery - that way if you blow the fuse in the fuse box that you're considering using, you won't lose your stereo settings as well as whatever feature the fuse was utilized to protect.
