Its not supose to come off the way you took it off.slide the top over the back metal.screw the hinges back in.and put the screws back in inthe frount or pop it in,depending what one you have.its just most important that its not vibrating and making noise.God bless, tom

Washer fill with water model # LA4800XTW0 then just sits there no agiate no spin water will then drain once switch is manually advanced. Lid switch problem? OR direct motor coupler?

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

Based on your post, if you mean manually advancing the timer it will drain, it's a coupler. If you mean manually activating the lid switch, it is the lid switch or lid switch strike.

( this is based on the most common Whirlpool, Estate, Kitchen-Aid, Roper, Kenmore, Inglis top-load washer, not necessarily applicable to ALL...based on the model provided, it cover's yours)

Thank you for choosing FixYa. Please take a moment to rate the info I provided and a short testimony is appreciated.

Clean under agitator on a Kitchen Aid top loading washing machine.

To remove the agitator to gently remove the cap from the top - it will have a rubber o-ring seal. Beneath it there should be a nut and washer assembly remove that. Then there should be a stack of agitator parts - clutch, upper agitator, lower agitator. Set them aside in the order you remove them. then back in the opposite manner.
Hope this helps.

Cabinet and back of washer are not fitting after replacing lid switch

The bottom front of the cabinet fits under the front of the frame, and the sides sit on top the frame. There is a notch towards the rear of the sides (on the bottom) for alignment to the frame. If they are aligned, the back will match right up.

Removing cover assembly on GE top load washer

Is your washer a GE Profile Harmony? Do you want to know how to take the top off or the top of the agitor (pulsator)? The top of the washer has four screws in the back top behind the screen once you unscrew them the front of the washer has two clips one on each side and you have to kinda tap it with your palm to get them to pop.
