Check the pull out draw at the bottom, I have the same model and it is collecting ice in the bottom, maybe you have an ice build up causing the door not to close. Mine was pretty bad before I found it, it did not prevent the door from closing, but it could hurt to look.

Maytag side by side freezer has ice by gasket mfs25d4mdm02 getting ice and snow in front of freezer..... bad gasket? under one year old..

Put a bright flashlight inside freezer then close the door. Cut all lights off and see if you see any light leaving through the gasket. If so it could be gasket or it could be that the door is not closing properly.

Freezer door opens

This sounds like an alignment problem. Loosen the hinges slightly and place the door in the closed position and duck tape it in place. Tighten the hinges and check it for seal. Door is heavy by itself so empty it first and work with some help.

My maytag fridge msd2732gr is leaking under front left freezer door at least twice a day.

I was having the same problem with my unit, I removed the back cover in the freezer that covers the coils to find the drain clogged where the water is supposed to drip into.

Changed freezer seal, bottom half of door won't close tight

tough job there , you must get a hair dryer and carefully heat gasket until it seals properly. some gaskets take hours to get to seal right.
