Question about NetGear DG834G Router
I have a netgear DG834GT router which I am using with a single pc on a wired connection. The pc is fairly old so doesn't have a wireless adaptor but the wired connection is fine. My son now has a playstation 3 which he wants to use online so my question is, can I use the same router to provide a wireless connection for the PS3 as well as the wired connection for my pc? If it is possible is it easy to do as I can't find the router manual and don't really want to have a go and mess it up and lose everything.
Sure you can, it's a wireless router with 4 wired ethernet ports also. go for it.

Hello..the quick answer is yes, this router allows wired and wireless connections at the same time, and it is easy to connect wirelessly (in theory...).
The PS3 will need to be configured to connect to your router, though. There is a guide to achieving this here:
If the wireless signal on the router has been secured, the settings used will be needed to set up the PS3.
If not, you may wish to secure the wireless connection, which is not too difficult - just a few steps, which I or someone else can help with if you wish.
Hope this helps, but please come back to Fixya if anything is not clear or you need further information.
