We are trying to use our brand new MP810 for the first time, but the error code 6B00 pops up immediately after plugging in and connecting the device to the pc. After this error code the device is not accessible anymore. What should we do? The manual and website do not offer any solution.

Re: mp810 Canon error 6B00
Try the following : GO through the control panel and delete the printer completely. No try to install a new printer using the windows install.
When it asked if you have the disk let uit find the install disk and install it . If this doesn;t now work. go back to the support website
and/ or the litature you have that came with the printer and see/ confirm that the windows version you are suing is the same as the one that yo have the install disk for. If not dowenload the correct driver from Canons web site.lf all that fails, since it is new, return ikt for another.

You probably have something stuck in the paper feed or under the print head.
First try moving the print head left and right with the printer off. If that doesn't work then,
Try looking for jam in the paper feed and specifically under the rollers. A small piece of paper or other debris, like fallen paper clip, staple. postage stamp are things I have seen stuck in printers that cause jams and error codes.
If these solutions don't work, post comment here.
Brand new cartridge or refilled one? If refilled cartridge, just wait for 30 minutes after refilling and use good quality of ink. It's caused by bad ink flow. While ink spray (bubbling) form head, ink at ink tank not flow to head.
I just replaced my MP810 printer head. Procedure: open printer - remove ink cartridges - Pick up arm located on right side of cartridge holder- remove printer head by picking up by the cartridge slots. Place new printer head in holder - replace printer cartridges - press arm down and your done....However, the error message stays on and reset procedure doesn't remove it. Canon tech support said their solution (because of distance from canon support) is to replace MP810 with comparable printer, which came to $299 with 15% discount and free shipping. My solution, I’m checking out other printers.
It means the carriage is not lifting and and the paper feed can not run. Sounds like either a paper jam inside or something fell in that doesn't belong. A flashlight and small mirror will help you look inside.
Could have a corrupt driver. Disconnect
the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do
both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer
to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
have had a MP810 about 3 months. Recently I've been getting a U150
error message. My C tank is not lighting up and being recognised. When
I open up and replace the tank the light comes on. Initially this
allowed me to carry on printing but now I have a constant error message
even after replacing the tank. Is there a permanent solution to this annoying problem? I would be grateful for any assistance.
