Question about Dell Inspiron 6400 Notebook
I turn my computer on and it makes a very small sound and the screen goes dark. I've been researching and it says is the lcd. Can somebody help me fix it I have a dell inspiron 6000. please help Sometimes it starts normally and works but it also shows a black screen with disordered horizontal lines and it does not work until I shake the led to some degrees.
That sounds like you have something loose ..
Here is an on-line service manual for that
I would look specifically @ the LCD/monitor lead and its connections

"and it does not work until I shake the led to some degrees" .. that tells me something is loose .. or a broken wire .. If you are not comfortable disassembling it and replacing the lcd I would suggest you take to be repaired ... lcd's for that unit can usually be found for $125 and up plus labor .. don't be surprised to pay $300 for a repair

I did so, and I removed the hinge cover to make sure of the lid's tightness. It was all okay. But I still have the problem sometimes.
