Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
I have had my washer for about 3 years. I always use HE detergent and Downey. Ocassionally I will use bleach. I keep my rubber seal cleaned, door opened sometimes, and I ocassionally run the sanitary cycle.
I noticed gray colored particles which I thought was lint at first but upon inspection, it was the same color as the seal and it was not only where the drain holes were but trapped throughout the rubber seal. I wiped some of it away.
My washer isn't leaking. Can I just clean the seal and still use it? Should I replace it? Is this normal even though I always use HE detergent? I am very dissappointed.
Any advice is appreciated.
The rubber boots a very tuff i have seen chunks come off tears , but u should be abale to find where they came from.it wont just sort of chip off.ithink what you have are pices from a rubber backed rug.check to see if any thro type rugs you have are coming apart.if so i wouldnt wash them any more.they pices if many will clog your pump.god bless tom
