My online light will not come on

RESET OKIDATA TONER DRUM 1. Turn machine on while pushing and holding the TWO up/down menu buttons at same time.
2. Menu window will show "OKI USER"
3. Scroll to " Engine Dialog Mode" is indicated. Push Enter button.
4. "Diagnostic Mode xx.xx.xx S-Mode is indicated.
5. Scroll to "NV-Ram initial" is indicated. Push ENTER.
6. Window shows "NV-Ram- Initial Table 1".
7. Push ONLINE and ENTER Buttons simultaneously and HOLD for 10 seconds after you see "Executing Reset" appear in menu window.
8. Restart printer.

All toner, drum, fuser and transfer figures return to 100\%.

You will need to replace the ink absorber - please call 1-800-652-2666 to order this part, and it will come with directions on how to install it, it's a fairly cheap accessory. After a while all ink absorber pads become too full and must be replaced. Additionally, you can try to reset this error, as long as your prints look ok you can usually do this once before having to replace it:

1. Press and hold both the "Stop/Reset" and the "Power" buttons on your printer.
2. Release the "Stop/Reset" button.
3. Push the "Stop/Reset" button two times, while continuing to press the "Power" button.
4. Release the "Power" button. Your printer is now in Service mode.
5. Insert paper into the paper tray.
6. Push the "Stop/Reset" button four times.
7. Press the "Power" button to turn off the printer. The printer will print counter information about the ink absorber before powering off.
8. The printer will now work normally.

Try to look on craigslist for at least a HP 4000, 4100 ,2300,2200 or 1320. The 4 is just to old these days. Thank you, Steven 805-520-3003

To reset the printer to its factory default settings, hold down the FEED button until the error LED has completed its FOURTH set of flashes. You can the reset any changes that you had to make initially when first using the printer.

There are language settings. Go to the main menu and rotate through to the pliers/screwdriver icon. (settings) Click the right button to select the icon with two sliding tabs. (device settings) Scroll down 4 selections to language selection. Select English.

Try a cold reset..power the machine off. While its powering on hold the check /go button down when you see the memory counting when lights are all lit up let go.

ok...start by removing the drivers from control panel, go to website and get new drivers, install them, try it again.

if the scanner bulb is not moving, then its an hardware problem.
We can try by resetting the printer.

POWER DRAIN:-Turn off the printer, Unplug the power cable from printer and from the wall outlet.Press and hold ON buton for 30-60 seconds.


PARTIAL RESET:-Unplug the printer power cable while its ON, press and hold # and 3 button and connect the Power cord while holding.Wait untill the ON light flashes, then release the buttons.

----(for below reset cartridges must be removed out)---------

SEMI_FULL RESET:-Unplug the printer power cable while its ON, press and hold # and 6 button and connect the Power cord while holding.Wait untill the ON light flashes,or wait for 20 seconds,hen release the button.If the printer goes off dont worry release the button and Push the ON button.


FULL NVM RESET:-Take the Ink Cartridges out, Unplug the printer power cable while its ON, press and hold OK/ENTER and CANCEL button and connect the Power cord while holding the buttons.keep Holding the buttons until the printer goes off ,release the button and Push the ON button.

(Notes - resets will take a while)

Try this. BTW, the Button with the "Check Mark" is the Enter button on this.

1). Switched the printer off.
2). Press and hold Enter button while turning the printer ON until CONFIG LANGUAGE appears in the Display.
3). After the power-on self test, lang=English (French, in your case) will appear. Press + button until the desired language (English) appears in the display.
4). Press Enter button to save your choice. An asterisk (*) will appear next to English to indicate it is now the default.
5). Press Online button. The On line indicator will be lit, and display messages will now be in English (you selected).
if that doesnt work try this
press...
green enter button once
right grey arrow button once
green enter button twice
then grey arrow button on right or left of green enter button until you see the language you want.
Select by pressing green enter button
Finished.

Pull out the toner cartridge. Carefully put your fingers into the opening just beyond the chrome roller. A little to the left of center you will fell/see a small black plastic finger which sticks up. It should be loose - push it forward and it springs forward, release it and it returns to the original position. If your paper jam catches this finger it can become jammed and will feel rigid. Put light pressure on it either pushing to the back or pulling forward until it becomes free again. Replace the toner cartridge, close the cover and your red light should go out.

It worked for me - hope it helps someone else.
