Question about Televison & Video
TV is badged as G-Line SK 2034 bought in Bahrain 2004, 34'' screen. We came back to UK 2005, TV has been fine and can still be controlled using the set front buttons. However about 3 weeks ago we could not find the remote and despite every effort it still remains hidden / lost / or maybe thrown out with rubbish ?? don't know.
I have searched for the code to tune my sky remote to the set but have been unsuccessful to date. Have tried many codes etc.
The manual says that the unit adopts the TOSHIBA SoC (system one chip) I2C Bus-control, advanced technology. The shop where I bought it in Bahrain told me that the tube was a Panasonic. Therefore I have tried all Panasonic and Toshiba codes plus anything that resembles G-Line e.g. Goldline, without success. I would appreciate any help that you can give.
Found the correct code for my TV & Sky remote... I searched a fair bit more on google for... "WS6680SIL/C7 code" and found... http://www.sjstv.co.uk/skycodelistNEW.html which the correct code for my Bush TV - 0742. Others you may want to try are Bush 0157 246, 263, 377, 037, 064, 065, 310,300,383, 399, 391, 402, 339. or Beko 0125 514, 398. Further, Alba Group are the firm whom own Bush brand amongst others. Google Alba Group to get their site and links to Bush sites.

I determined that the Philco Remote Control that I wanted to program for use on a Magnavox tv was too old (20+ Years) and dead. It also did not have the features of a new Universal Remote. So, I tosed the Philco remote and purchased a new Universal Remote Control.

SOURCE: I bought a Toshiba 32
Are you using the freeview tuner, I only ask as it looks like your having a similar problem that I had a few months back. I moved into a new house and plugged in the tv. Using the freeview tuner I wasnt able to get any channels. It turned out although the aerial picked up regular analogue tv it wasnt the correct aerial for freeview.

you can buy a universal remote from AV shop and tune to any TV. Can buy one that works as combos for TV, DVD, VHS etc, does away with all remotes
