Question about Behringer POWERED MIXER, 20 CH, 400 WTS AMPLIFIER => Model PMX5000 Car Audio Amplifier

Open Question

Inability to use both A & B speakers at once

Behringer pmx 1000 Europower. Unfortunately, I can only "get" sound from one speaker side A connection or B connection at a time. Is this normal?; Or there a way to get both speakers to function simultaneously?

The Amplifier will have wierd, notched, circular speakon cable connectors on the back, two, one for main left and one for main right. Press the button in on your speakon cable connector and twist it and lock it into place on the amplifer for right and left attachments, then do the same to your speakers.

Hopefully this helps.

If the shaft broke, then you will have to replace the whole encoder for it. You cannot glue a shaft and expect it to hold.

The voice cancellor switch basically subtracts the left and right signal because the vocalist is usually centered... The noise would likely be in an op amp associated with this feature...

Compare your circuit to a PMH1000. On that unit first thing to check is the two electrolytic caps at the left and right noise cancellor outputs.

There are a wholle bunch of resistors and IC's 48,50,37 are all involved.

Troubleshoot this one with freeze mist (ccircuit cooler). The problem should show up easily by heating and cooling.

My behringer powermixer is making a clicking

You have blown the power amps in the unit. This is why you must insure that the speaker leads cannot be unplugged while unit is powered.

I don't know what model mixer you have, but ones like PMP3000, PMP5000, PMP1280S use a switching class D amp that arcs through a circuit board.

One can get a replacement:

http://www.fullcompass.com/product/375886.html

I have NOT done business with this company before but you need to see if the HCA2400 module is what you have in your unit. Note that it has covers on the unit pictured at the site when installed.

I have repaired these, but it is an extensive process including carving out burned board material and replacing many components.

180 watts mixer/amplifier and 400 watts speakers

Hiya, they are thermally or DC protecting. You will have to add some extra cooling if you can, external fan etc. Bottom line is you are going to have to crank it down a tad or increase amps and speakers. If its DC protection, its because the distortion levels are 2 high. Very easily achieved with mics not compressed. Again, try tone them down a tad.

Hope that helps

New behringer powered mixer, comes on, but doesn't hear anything.

Fan comes on with temperature rise. Not a problem if off till you start driving speakers loud.

Make sure standby switch is up. The slide switch is up to A/B.
The main fader iis up. Your input fader(s) are up. The trim controls are up enough. Inputs are plugged to input and not the inserts.

Be careful... this unit has a lot of power and can blow speakers.

Friend be sure that you got the right current in your speaker, if you do as you have said it is only a quarter of the way up the scale, Try this: try a lower speaker ohmic value, if there is an available ohmic value next to the speaker you are using now. Test it the way you do to the spreaker you are using now.
Try also to recheck the current in your speaker, if reading is now different, compare it to your manual. If it it below the manual try to connect a speaker with lower ohmic value, if its above, connect a speaker with a higher ohmic value.
P.S. please don't forget to rate.

Peavey PR10PN Powered Loudspeaker

you mean a series connection, I'm assuming that you are connecting two speakers to one channnel (the right or left ) of the stereo. you take the positive and the negative leads and you put one on one speaker and the ohter on ther other speaker, positive (+) to positive (+) and negative (-) to negative(-). then you simply connect the 2 leftover connection of the speakers together with a wire. Be carefull though becaus if you do it wrong, it could short out your stereo or it will sound really bad...
