Populate the destination list
You must populate the destination list in HP Solution Center for the
Scan To
function to work. Follow these steps to populate the destination list.
NOTE:
HP
Solution Center is the software that came with the product. You must
make sure the software is installed on the computer for all the product
functions to work correctly. The software is also necessary for
completing this procedure. Install HP Solution Center if it is not
already installed.
NOTE:
It might take several minutes for the list to populate.
If
the appropriate programs are already listed as scan destinations,
discontinue this procedure. You must reinstall the software.
SOURCE: Print Cartridges Refer to documentation (No function works)
I was getting this same VERY unhelpful error and the only thing that solved it for me was to buy another genuine HP black cartridge (350XL). As soon as I put it in, it cleared the error and sprang to life. As a matter of interest, before this happened, the HP Toolbox utility was also saying that the old cartridge was nearly empty. So why on earth doesn't the printer tell you the same thing??? Come on HP - get your firmware sorted. Disappointed.
