Picture is 5 columns. Three contain the picture and 2 are white
This is a new Logitech Communicator webcam. I have deleted and reinstalled the driver. OS is XP. Switched to an USP port that was running the printer. Still the 5 columns. Exchanged webcam for a new one. Still the same problem

Did you connect the camera before installing the software program? If you did, disconnect the camera from the USB Port and reinstall the software program. When the program asks you to reconnect the printer, then plug the cable back into the USB port and it shoould function properly.

Since it works OK on one machine, it has to be the software or settings. Launch the Logitech toolbar onto your desktop during the problem time of day. Plug the webcam in and start it using the Quick Capture button ( 2 film frames picture ) With the cam running open the 'Settings' menu ( 2 gear wheel picture ) Return to default Run down the menu down the left hand side checking Anti flicker - right light etc for improvements If no improvement can be found - disconnect webcam - uninstall software - restart computer and download by going to the Logitech support website - identify your webcam - click on it and download software.
ok the problem is in your cam. its a $20 logitech if you want a clear picture you will need to invest in a more exspensive model of webcam. the logitech supports alot of driver but at the same time the transmision and reception is worrible. they have up upgrades of the logitech you may want to look into.
since i got a digital cam i had no problems.
but if you wish to work with wat you go 4 now. you can uninstal and reinstall the cam that should correct the issue your having. if not i would look into up grading the cam to a digital
dont know which cam your using but uninstall turn off anti virus and reinstall software. make sure the cam is unplugged during this time. plug in the cam when the program asks. should restore control function.
Go to the link that I have below, on that page (The logitech support page) you will see many pictures of their different cameras. Look until you find the picture of yours if it is there, and click on it.
