Stereo will not power on.

Check to make sure your getting power on the car's harness side, not the radio. Check your 12v constant(battery power), your 12volts switched(ignition) and ground. If they all check out OK then your unit needs to be checked as it may be faulty.

Red wire is switched power (only has power when key is turned), yellow is constant power, black is ground, blue is accessories (e.q. or amp switched power), dual grey, dual blue, dual white and dual other is for speakers, (usually the one with the marking is the positive speaker side). This should help..

I hooked up a stereo system for a friend last night, and he has a 250 watt power acoustic amp, and he bought a 1200 watt amp wiring kit, is the wiring kit to powerful for the amp, because i hooked it all...

As I said in the previous post no the wiring kit is just fie. Yo uwill need to change the inline fuse and that is about it. The problem exists in how you have your subwoofers wired and what impedance is being presented to the amp. Please read my previous response to your your post.

I turned down the volume on my kdc-mp522, when i went to turn it back up, it was off (I did not stop or turn car off.). I cannot get it to power on, i can insert and remove disc, so there must be power,...

that is kind of strange and if your getting power to put a cd in but no for it to fully power the unit you may need to check another fuse it will be not be your radio fuse but instead a mini fuse in your vehicles cabin should be on the left side under neith the dash or on the side of the dash it will most likely be a 10 or 15 amp mini fuse that supplies power from the fuse box to the reiceivers acc source ignitions source

Sub doesnt kick on when put cd in only comes on when turn on radi

I had the same problem, but in my case it was a factory amp.

The blue wire on the deck harness is for a power antenna, and only powers up when the tuner is in use, not in the cd or aux mode. Therefore if you are using the blue wire (on the adapter or car side) to power the remote power on your amp, you would need to connect that blue wire (on the adapter or car side) to a keyed power source. This way the keyed source supplies power when the key is on, and will not cut out when the mode is changed from "Tuner" to "CD" or "AUX".

I just connected to the keyed source on my radio harness, but then, I am not running any kind of system, just the basics.

I cant remember what the wires are

well you will have two wires for each speaker one solid color for positive side on with a strip for negative you can take a mall aa battery and touch it to one of the solids and one of the stripes you will here a static sound comming out of one of the speakers mark thatose two wires to there coresponding speaker.... then you will have an oarnge wire this is the power ant this is the one that needs power only when the key is turned on then you have a black this is for the negative side of the DC voltage and a rewd wire this is for the positive side of the DC voltage... let me know if that helps

Subwoofer makes a loud bass machine gun noise when powered up

Well, I have the same problem and I would think it has something to do with the RCA-connections. If I power up my head unit while I have my main fuse for the amp's removed and then replace the fuse as the head unit is already playing music (thus putting out a current through the RCA-connections) it works just fine. But if I just power up my stereo with the fuse in, my subs go all crazy. I guess it has something to do with disruptions in the rca cable. Maybe they are drawn too close to some power cables or speaker cables? Good luck!
