Did you changed your computer's os? In case you didn't, reinstall to your computer the software CD you received with the camera. Good luck!

You cannot create new folders on an SD card and copy images to them, as the camera will not recognise them, since they were not create in the camera. Copy the entire contents of the card to a folder on your HDD, then format the card in the camera.

Finepix J12 cannot upload photos onto computer.

Here's the best solution. Get a card reader for your card (available at Walmart, Kmart, Best Buy, etc.) and use it to download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop. Once there, you can do anything you like with them.

How can i put pictures from the camera to my computer

Download the manual from http://www.myacrobatpdf.com/7730/fujifilm-finepix-s5700-finepix-s700-manual.html for detailed instructions. Otherwise, connect a USB cable to the camera and to your PC. Switch the camera on and wait for the computer to recognise it. It should appear as another disk drive under "My Computer" Double click on the drive and it will open the folder structure. You can now right click and "copy" the photos from the camera to the computer folder you wish to put them in

Photos will not upload from camera to computer

Go to Desktop/MyComputer/Pana(or it may say USB Drive, or DCIM, and click on this external drive Icon.
You are now looking at the camera contents as if it were just another file folder on your PC, and behaves the same way.

You will find your pics in a sub-folder under a master folder, common for all camera file structures, named DCIM. You can drag and drop individual pic (jpg) files or whole pic subfolders from the camera to a place on your PC, usuallly Documents/Pictures.

You can do all other folder/file operations on this Camera Folder/Pic files you can do with those that exist on the PC like;cut, past, delete, rename, etc etc.

When you take you next first pic from your camera, after moving or deleting a pic subfoler under the Camera's DCIM master folder, the camera automatically creates another subfolder. Each subfolder holds 999 pics. The camera will atuomatically create a second, third, etc subfolder for pics 1000 to 1999, 2000 to...etc.

External drive just stopped being recognised by Windows

OK first, check ALL connections Re-install any drivers etc, then try the device on another 'puter if the problem "Follows" ya.. then I think ya drive is done and dusted :(

Generally ya can simply replace the "Guts" of ya external with another drive of similar type then anything generally will work if it physically fits.

Reconization of external harddrive on my computer

Have you removed it at anytime before, if so better putting back into same usb port, or firewire or try using another one. Assuming all drivers have been loaded for the HDD. See if the drive is recognised, go to My Computer, right click then manage, then look at disk management and see if it's there. If not there and you know your ports are ok, then there is a hardware fault.
