Printer won't print.

My printer will not print. How do I get it to print from computer.

    did that twice.. still doesn't work. The printer worked when first installed. After sitting for awhile, it quit working and hasn't ever since. Can't get test pattern or any test page to try to get it to work. I took the disk that came with it, reinstalled and still nothing.

You need to install appropiate driver first corrresponding to your printer brand and model and the OS platform you ar eusing say XP or vista

You must firmly insert the cables that connects b/w PC and printer or buy new connector. Or, you may reinstall the driver..

Printer is paused all the time


Hello, sounds like your drivers are messed up, reload them to the computer or the connection cable maybe bad. If neither of these fix then the printer is bad.

How to put printer in print mode


Actually, it does not matter what mode your printer is on when printing from your computer. Whenever your printer detects a print job sent to it, the printer will automatically acknowledge the signal and print the file - no matter if it's on Copy, Scan or Fax Mode.

check all cables are fixed. You are printing to printer not to a file. Printer driver is installed. Printer is not offline.

My Dell V505 printer won't print documents from the computer, when I press print the printer prints a page of dash's and ticks. there is ink in the cartridges. i've disconnected the power....


Turn the printer off.
Disconnect the AC power.

On your computer, click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Printers
Select the Dell Printer
Uninstall it
Restart your computer
Turn the printer on
Allow the computer to reinstall the device-device for the printer.
Print a test page.

Printer won 't print have turned off and b ack on can find printer but won't print


Have you tried using the other printer that is not checked? Make it your default printer if it works, and delete the other one.
If neither works, then delete both, and reinstall software.
