Question about D-Link DI 514 Wireless Router (DI-514)
Neigbours are using my wirless network. I have opened the URL page on my computer and put on a password (maybe this only secures the internal part of my computer). It is a DIR 615 wireless router. My network name comes up to friends in my house and neighbours. Do I have to make my computer invisible to stop this or can I have a password for anyone to access my internet.
The password you entered should prevent people from using yor network unless they have the password. Your network will still show on other peoples settings when they check for networks to connect to, but now you have added a password for your router it should say secured next to it when they try to use your network it will ask them for the password - pin - etc... and if they do not have it then they should not be able to access your router. Why not try to see if one of your neighbours can still access it now you have protected it with a password.
