Nat, the gas is likely leaking from the carburetor, primer system or broken fuel line. I recommend contacting your local authorized service center for assistance.

You may contact the manufacturer, download manuals, check fuel/oil ratios, order parts, find your local service center, and view other resources using these links:

SOURCE: after replacing the fuel lines

This is usually because you used a fuel line that is too small to seal the holes they pass through in the fuel tank. When they pass through the holes in the tank they should be very tight so gas cannot leak past the lines.

Yard machines by mtd 11b-509n062 lawn mower is leaking gas from what appears to be a fuel line. The fuel line is a few inches below the gas cap.

Not sure what the question is. If the fuel line is leaking it is because it is not on the bottom of the tank well or it has a crack and needs to be replaced

Gas leak at bottom of saw

Which model.? Certain Husqvarna saws have the fuel tank moulded into the back handle and are prone to getting damaged. Check for cracks and for damage to fuel lines and where the pipes enter the tank. If they are ok then you could have fuel tank damage. It could also be a leaking carb.

Fuel tanks can be reapaired or replaced.

My 1974 kawasaki ke 125 is leaking gas out the bottom of the engine. what is wrong with it?

Several things could be wrong. First, the fuel petcock (valve) at the bottom of the gas tank should be turned off when the bike is not being ridden. Also, it is possible the valve may not be fully shutting off the gas. This can allow the carb to overflow and leak gas. A stuck open or punctured float in the carb bowl can cause overflow. The float should be light as a feather and have nothing inside it but air. Is the carb securely mounted?

Check for cracked fuel hose or bad connections at the tank and carb. Is the fuel valve body leaking gas where it mounts to the tank? Heck, with the bike being 36 years old the tank may be leaking at a weld or due to rust through. I wish I could work on your bike. The older bikes are more fun to work on than the newer bikes. Post a reply and let me know what you find.

My tb425cs leaks gas when it is running. It drips from the bottom of the gas tank.

Be sure to not overfill the tank. Just load it with gas up to the bottom of the neck and be positive you're not cross-threading the cap when twisting it on. If it only leaks when operating, see if there is fuel bubbling out through the vent(s) in the top of the cap or out from under it. Also wipe the tank clean and dry to be positive it is not leaking from a seam or crack in tank or around fuel lines. If leaking from cap, might have to replace as they do have an internal rubber seal that could have gotten dry or cracked. If it's from the tank seams or fuel lines replacement may be neccessary of either one or both.

96 Ninja zx6r Fuel Tank breather hose leaking gas

It sounds like that hose which runs fron the cap area (inside) the fuel tank to the back bottom is broke, if you take it to a Kawasaki dealer and have your dealer call Kawasaki there is a good chance it will get covered as long as the tank is damaged. Those hoses (metal) that run inside the fuel tak sometimes crack, there is really not way of fixing them unless you cut the tank open and then you would need to reweld it.

Fuel tank leaking how to solve problem gas is not pouring out but is seeping through bottom of tank There is fuel leaking from the top of the tank, is it a fuel overflow release or is the seal on the fuel...

If your gas tank is cracked or has a hole in it, you have to drain the tank, remove the gas tank and replace it, or have it repaired (if possible). If the gas tank is just leaking from the top and dripping along the side and to the bottom, you will still have to empty the gas tank, and remove it to get a good look at the condition of the gasket. It is not uncommon for these gaskets to become cracked or fragile over time because of the harsh chemicals and cleaning agents used in unleaded gas. If you do decide to have the gas tank removed, I would recommend replacing the fuel pump and fuel filter if your car has high mileage. Please rate this response if you found this helpful.
