Question about Sharp Televison & Video
I cracked my 65" lcd screen and want to buy a replacement
SOURCE: 65in sony cracked screen
While damaged TV screens can generally be replaced, the cost to replace one can sometimes be cost-prohibitive. I would suggest that you first contact Sony directly to see if the company has the part available separately or as an assembly only. The difference in price between any individual component and any assembly that it is included in can be quite significant.
Keep in mind though that in some cases, manufacturers may not even provide the screen for purchase if the cost of the replacement part exceeds the current market value of the TV itself.
Another option you might be able to pursue is to contact an independent TV or electronics repair company to see if they would have this part available from another salvaged unit, especially if you don’t have a preference if the part is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part, has been rebuilt or is an aftermarket part.
Please remember though that it's generally best to have a manufacturer-authorized repair technician perform any repair that you are unfamiliar with, in order to minimize the risks of injury and damage to personal property.
If you would like, you may also always contact your local Best Buy™ store for more information on how to obtain repair estimates and part replacement. Remember that there would be fees for any such service (diagnostic and trip charges), in addition to any labor/part costs involved.
Hope this helps you out.
