I have a rockola 454. It kicks thw main circuit breaker after one minute. The turn table only was turning. i think i have it timed right now. still kicks circuit breaker after about one minute.

are you saying it kicks the main breaker to your panel. if that's the case, you need to check the wiring inside, make sure the wires have not melted together anywhere. make sure that no staple, nothing sharp, basically anything sharp pointy or rusty is nowhere near any wires. if that is not the problem, then I would look at whatever is running at the time. those old devices can have large capacitors, huge vacuum tubes. and the way those old things were designed if a tube blew it would still keep working. when that happens, the load becomes greater, meaning amps go up, with every ampere comes a unit of heat. i'll need more info, you can google the model and model number, the schematics are there I just found them, i'm just not paying for them. buy the stuff, send me a copy and I can walk you through troubleshooting it step by step. those devices are very simple to work on. it's all analog, so it's just going to boil down to whether you have voltage where your supposed to or not. hope I helpled, Hamilton.

Fishing electrical wire down a wall

I do a few measurements to determine where to drill holes,
in the attic I measure from the wall and locate top plate of wall to be fished
the bottom of the wall at the trim is where I need the wire to exit
so I attach a piece of chain to my wire
drop the wire straight down wall
use a retrieving magnet to fish wire out...
I use to try and hook a line and try and look in the hole for the wire?
although with the chain and magnet technique you can do this with your eyes closed, well almost, it just makes it easier!
after the wire is fished I can install....
hope this helps anyone wondering how this is done?

I have a transom mount 12volt i was fishing the other day and it just quit working come home and checked my voltge that was but doing some testing i found that all the wires going to the actual go to the...

The motor windings are very low resistance so checking for a short is difficult. However, It sounds like a open rather than a short circuit. The switch might be open. Try jumping the switch to see if that works. If not then visually inspect for opens. To go further would require a schematic, disconnecting wires, etc. It would help to have the nameplate information or a copy of the schematic to really help, Send me an email at vze2m6dn@verizon.net. How to attach leads to batteries

This is what they call a series connection. The two 12 volt batterys are wired together in a series to make one 24 volt battery. The positive wire or red from your trolling motor goes to the positive post on battery 1. The negative lead from trolling motor goes to the negative post on battery 2 then there is a short wire that goes from negative on battery one to positive on battery 2. NOW GET THAT HOOKED UP AND GET IN THE BASS.

Motorguide energy 38 gets water inside. How many seals are there and where on the motor are they located?

Hello!
There are 6 seals in total...2 in the housing right behind the prop where the armature goes through, 2 seals on the long thru bolts, and 2 seals that are about 3 1/2" around that seal the body. The Part number is 6220 and can be ordered here:
http://www.mikesreelrepair.com/product_info.php?products_id=47718
and here's a schematic:
Energy 39 hand control same motor as et38 and bow mount as well.
