There is a problem with one or two of the diodes on the G board.
Zero Crossing Detector 9 times 9:0 or 9:1
Probable cause • D6116 or D6301 is open (G Board)

I hope this helps and good luck!

TV blinks 9 times and wont turn on please help

Replace D 6116 and D 6301 on the "G" board, do not resolder as this will fix the problem temporary. Or Panel Module Error or Thermal Error. If it is intermittent 9 blinks, meaning sometimes the TV comes on and other times you get flashing, then change the switching regulator on the "G" board or check connections. Make sure the regulator is -12 or -13 (negitive). hope it works

Set wont turn on, stand by lights blinks 9 times

Have the same thing happening with ours... we were told by a repairman that it needs a new D Board. He told us that if we could fix the TV for under $500 that it was worth it, if not (which of course, we can't when you add in labor cost) don't fix it. I like the TV but I can buy a brand new flat screen for that!
Good Luck

Sony Wega KDP-57WS655 Standby light blinks 9 times and wont turn

Service Manual of KDP-57WS655 says if TV standby light blinks 9 times then problem is Zero Corssing Detector and you need to replace diodes, D6116 or D6301 which are open on G Board.

Tv wont turn on blinks 9 times then 1 time

I was inform that it could be a sensor (bad diode), you have to get a multimeter tester and test the diodes and if current flows from both sides then replace that diode.

They have a guide that goes through the blinking.  I had 9 blinks one time and I had to replace some fuses.  Sorry I don't have a link to the guide
