Gas is pouring out of new generator. It seems to leak at point where gas goes into filter.Tightened hose. Still pours. Any ideas

Sometimes gas leaks appears to be leaking in one place when it is actually leaking from another place. I assume that the fuel feed is by gravity from the tank to the filter and to the carburettor. Did you check the hose that is attached to the bottom of the tank? it may be ruptured; check both clamps and make sure that there are no shavings to the hose.
good luck

Gasoline in crankcase

Is there oil in the gas tank? They were added to the wrong reservoir.

If it was difficult to start and the choke was closed while cranking, raw gas can leak past the piston rings. Also, (my old McCullock Mity-Lite is like this) if the engine shutoff is effected by turning off the spark ignition, the motor starts to slow down and this causes the speed governor to open the throttle to it's maximum. This allows unburnt gas to enter the cylinder and leak into the crankcase. I get around this by holding the throttle closed with my hand as I short out the spark plug. If you have a fuel shutoff valve, that would be the better way to stop the motor.

19e412-0134-01 won't start. gas leaks out air

The float is stuck on the carb flooding the engine and leaking gas out of air filter. Remove the float bowl after the gas is turned of or drained. Thoroughly clean carb And bowl with carb cleaner. Reove the float {very carefully} if it is copper, shake it. If you here fuel in it then it is no good. If not then clean everything and reassemble. If it needs to be replaced, most small engine repair shops will have your parts.

20 hp kohler leaking gas out front right side of motor

Check all your fuel hoses make sure they are not broken or any holes are in the lines themselves. Also clean out the Carb and all the ports leading to the engine with some carb cleaner. If you still have raw fuel leaking then you are going to have to replace the top gasket on the motor where your cylinders are located.

Recently a Generac 17kw natural gas generator was installed at my house. The weekly exercise cycle works OK. However I noticed a small gas odor coming from the air intake vents. The gas installer has...

There will be a normal odor as the engine cranks until enough gas is in the intake for starting. Gas generators do not have an ignition 'on-off' switch, they use a fuel solenoid to turn on and off the gas to start and kill the engine. If you are uneasy, your local gas company should be able to check engine compartment for leaks. Here in my home town, the gas company will inspect any equipment for gas leaks and/or carbon monoxide levels free of charge.
