Re: help me connect
Look in the control panel and check for the network adapter. You will probably find that it is exclamated or red X'd out. If so, you need to download the driver and reinstall it. You will find the driver on this IBM page:
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

ATT has good customer serice if you dial 611 from your phone, assuming you're in the USA. Other than that, go to an ATT company store, rather than an ATT reseller. Even better is to find the closest ATT Service Center and phyically walk in the door looking for help.
If you want to use the same connection from at&t ..you have to download and install the AT&T communication manager for windows & ..and after that make the connection .. Here is the link .. http://www.wireless.att.com/businesscenter/solutions/wireless-laptop/communication-manager/index.jsp If you have the AT&T on a wireless router ..use the wifi .card to connect to the router ...by ..enabling the wifi ..than click on the card icon ..and scan for networks ....When the router is found by name ...click connect ..and thats all..
ATT is your high speed internet provider and they supply you with 2wire DSL modem which has alot of power supply adapter going bad (you can Google 2wire AC dapter problem).
You can buy your own DSL modem but the key is the setting it up, it depends on how your ATT DSL system is setup, DHCP, PPOe, etc. What ever you do I hope you do have the user name and password that you may need to setup the new modem.
To explain exactly how here will take many many words and pages to explain, and without knowing your exact setup, it will be real difficult.
ATT does not care if you use your own DSL modem but they will not help you setting it up.
I would suggest you to get someone at school that knows a lot about computer, may be aks your school IT person to see if he/she can help you for free pizza.
I hope my explanation will help you out.
In order for you to print on that particular printer, your computer and the printer need to be on the same network. That is the only way it will work. So, either connect your computer to that Dlink router or connect your printer directly to your computer and browse internet from USB ATT.
Hi, You are using westell modem that means your internet service provider must be DSL.You will need to make sure that your computer is able to go online when connected to the modem. that will decide the type of ISP connection. Click Here for more info on how to set up the router.
hook your ethernet into the wireless router input (should be labeled with green around it or some other color) then that will activate the router and you should be able to access the internet via wireless
