My 87 year old mom has some how turned off her answering machine. I had her read me every button on the phone but nothing sounded like it tunred the answering machine on or off. She has a radio shack phone and answeing machine but she does not see a model number on it. I know it is difficult to fix something long distance but any suggestions?

Press the Menu button
Use the volume up/down buttons to navigate to 'Answ. Setup'
Use the volume up/down buttons again to get to 'Record greeting'
You might need to press OK here, I'm not sure.
Press the Start key and record your greeting
There should be a greeting or greet labeled button on the base.Hold it down and it will prompt you.If there isn't one, without turning on the phone hit the funtion button. There should be a directional button to cycle you through the options. It should be on the base though. We just got rid of our Uniden though because the batteries died and there are so many new ones that come out year to year, they don't even put out the battery anymore. It is less than 2 years old too.:( Good luck!
press menu on the base. use the volume up and down buttons to change to the answ. setup go to greeting and follow the menu prompts to record a new greeting, then select change to pick which outgoing greeting is played.
