Do you have any idea what the problem could be ? And Yes it is a genuine Vista Ultimate disk but it also says it is not.

Window will slowly start disabling itself by having lesser and lesser functions, if it is not activated. Use the Window Product key sticker on you system to register. You may have to call in to get activation key. It differs from product key.
it's a powerful gaming notebook but it worth about $1000 (in different websites) and this price is very high for such notebook. you can buy better notebooks (absolutely with better hardware) with lower price. (like dell 5010R)
use the recovery CD ..if it came with vista ..if not ...look for a boot-able DVD with vista ...and be sure ya have all drivers first for to avoid problems ...at least the network to be able to connect to internet an d resolve the rest ... but ...the secure way and recommended is to reinstall clean from a cd -dvd ...
Try: G1S - This laptop supports multimodal switching of the wireless and Blue Tooth radios via the key command Fn+F2: 1st press: On both Blue Tooth & WiFi 2nd press: Off Blue Tooth / On WiFi 3rd press: On Blue Tooth / Off WiFi 4th press: Off both Blue Tooth & WiFi
The BIOS has to match the files on the DVD. If you install it on a different make of computer or on an older version of the same make it will not activate.
What you are doing is illegal. You must pay for a licence for Vista if you install it. An XP licence does NOT cover you to run Vista. You must buy a copy of retail version Vista from a shop.
