Question about Teac USB2 TV TUNER (USB2TVTUNER) Video Capture

No sound on TV

Hi, I've got a Teac CT-M5129STC tv that has no sound? If you get real close to the speakers you can hear sound but very faint, with volume right up. I pulled the back off and had a look for dry joints, but appart from a few warm looking patches and a bit dusty, nothing jumped out at me. Any ideas would be great thanks!

check all wires to speaker are correct also if you take the unit apart you might find that their is 2 or 3 fuses inside it might be that one of these has blown.
Also check no dust has over heated anything as this is often the case when anything electrical has been off for a while.
Let me know how you get on ok

the speaker wire itself could be grounding out. look for small knicks in the wire and make sure the plug is not faulty. RCA plugs can go bad which would account for intermitent troubles some times

TEAC Axia TV Model: LCDV 2605 set up to use surround sound speakers. Wish to revert to TV's own built-in sound system speakers only. Do not have a manualas was gifted a second-hand TV. Help?

If you have the remote, simply go into the audio menu and check TV speakers. If you don't then you'll have to either purchase a duplicate remote or find a universal which will allow you to access the audio menu of the TV. I'm afraid there's no other way that I know of. Good luck. So, you have no sound at all on the TV as is, correct?

No sound on tv or dvd

If its a combo (what is brand and model number???) and has a headphone jack---the jack may be the problem.

If no jack something in audio circuit is gone===place ear up close to speaker and see if you hear ANYTHING AT ALL, even a hiss or faint audio.

It is also rare but possible the speaker (if only one) is bad==easy to check with back removed.

I have lost all sound on my tv. You can hear snapping or popping but the sound is real faint on highest setting.

I am sorry to hear about your misfortune. Unless you changed some sound settings right before that happened then the likely cause is that your tv's internal speakers have blown. Which will cause that really faint sound even when the volume is all the way up.

If your TV has an audio out connection you can try hooking it up to surround sound or a receiver with some speakers. You may be able to use your tv this way and get sound.

Otherwise you will have to make use of your warranty if the TV is still covered. If not then there is nothing more I can suggest. Repair cost might be more than hooking it up to an external sound system.

Post back if you have any further questions or comments.Thank you for choosing Fixya.

Hi, I bought a teac dvd and 5 speaker surround sound system yesterday. I am having trouble setting it up. I want to run the TV sound through it as well, but at the moment it is only going through the sub...

Whoa,ok.Sounds like things aren't connected properly. The first step is to disconnect the TV and concentrate on getting sound from a dvd or cd.Read the owners manual and double check that the speakers are hooked up correctly and that the unit is in the correct surround mode.Next, connect the TV.Use an RCA cable to go from an "Audio out" jack on the TV to an input jack on the Teac -e.g. "Aux, TV, etc.If your TV doesn't have the proper jack, I'm afraid you're out of luck.
