Keyboard will not function, mouse will. New batteries no help. Can't log on because can't type in password.

Same problems here. Just stopped working. Tried fresh batteries, but still doesn't work. My computer doesn't give me the reset keyboard option listed below. Does anyone have a customer support number for this keyboard? I haven't been able to find anything.

Try going to Control Panel, then click on keyboard and Keyboard Properties will come up. Then click on Key Settings and then click on Restore Defaults. Hopefully that will do it. Had a similar problem with an MS 4000 KB.

Hope this works for you.

I have a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000 that also has a very short range. The only solution I've found so far is to plug the receiver into a USB extention cord and run the cord toward the mouse.

Keyboard does not type brand new batteries

look for a little hole on the keyboard, the button is the size of a pin head, it is for resetting the keyboard after you put in a new battery. when you find the reset switch the keyboard light will work and the startup bar will show it has found a new device.
