E74 is the error code, call xbox (1800-4MY-XBOX) and inform them of this error.
If you have voided your warranty, you will have to resort to buying a new 360 or a new motherboard.

RECEIVER KEEPS SHUTTING OFF

it sounds like you have the auto power down/auto power off turned on which is diffrent from the sleep time which can only be set for two hours and the auto power down/off feature can be set for many hours and is always on unlike the sleep timer which must be set each time, you will be able to find it in the on screen menus and turn it off since it is on the moment you turn your unit on and your owners manual will explain exactly how to do it and if you dont have the manual just goto www.yamaha.com and you can download the manual for free. please let me know if that was the problem

I played my xbox for an hour or two last night.... i shut it off and unplugged it and my gf played ps2 for about an hour... then we went to sleep well today when i plugged it in nd tried to turn it back on...

You have have not mentioned what is not working the Xbox or the Ps2. Any way if the amber light does not turn on when you plug the Xbox into the wall socket you have lost the power adapter and do not attempt to repair it yourself . It is available on the net for 20$. In case of the Ps2 also its the same story. Replace the adapter.

What is the function of the sleep button on the TruTech TCR1276 Clock Radio. The alarm clock already has a snooze button.

The sleep button sets the radio to play for a set length of time and then turn off. Thus you can fall asleep with the radio on and not have to remember to turn it off. It works when the clock's Auto/On/Off switch is set to Auto or Off. The default is 59 minutes before it turns off. You can adjust the time until it turns off by holding the sleep button and the hour (lengthen the sleep time) or minute (shorten the time until it goes to sleep) button. The longest duration is 1 hour and 59 minutes until shut off.

I hope this helps. You can find the manual for the clock radio at: http://www.curtisint.com/support/manuals.asp . Search for the TCR1276.

goto the control panel - power options and see what you have set there for sleep mode, under the powerplan - often it can be set on a couple of mins when using battery change the setting to longer

  1. To begin troubleshooting this problem, check if the auto-off feature is turned on. To check if the auto-off feature is turned on, follow these steps:
    1. Start the Xbox 360 console without a disc in the disc tray.
    2. In the System section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard, select Console Settings.
    3. In the Console Settings area, select Auto-Off.
    4. Examine the option to see if it set for auto-off. If it is set for auto-off, change your selection.
  2. If the auto-off feature is not turned on and this is the first time the Xbox 360 console has turned off unexpectedly, let's do a simple test before we continue troubleshooting.

To do this test, turn the Xbox 360 off for about 10 minutes. Then turn the console on and see if the problem occurs again. If the Xbox 360 console turns off unexpectedly again, make a note of how long the Xbox 360 console is on before the console turns off automatically.
  3. If the auto-off feature is turned off but the problem happens again, check the appearance of the Ring of Light to determine what to do next.
    • The two lights in the left quadrant of the Ring of Light flash red: The internal temperature of the Xbox 360 console may be too high. In this case, turn off the Xbox 360 console, and let it cool down. It may take several hours for the console to cool enough.

Also, make sure that the ventilation openings on the console are not blocked. (For example, the ventilation openings may be blocked if you place the Xbox 360 console on a soft surface, like a bed or a sofa.) Also make sure that the console is not located in a poorly-ventilated place, such as an enclosed bookcase or stereo cabinet. For more information about what to do if the two red lights in the left quadrant on the Ring of Light flash red, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 907533 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907533/ ) Two of the lights on the Ring of Light on the front of your Xbox 360 console flash red
    • No lights are flashing on the Ring of Light: In this case, we should check the lights on the Xbox 360 power supply for hints on how to fix the problem. A green light indicates that the power supply is correctly functioning.

2 red lights

Your xbox is overheating.
1. Let your Xbox 360 console cool. You may have to wait several hours for your console to cool enough. Don't turn on your Xbox 360 console when the console is hot. 2. Verify that your Xbox 360 console has enough ventilation and that the fans are operating. 3. If the two lights continue to flash after trying the above steps, you'll need to contact Xbox Customer Support.

Power issue.

James,
I have been researching this TV and found that many had motherboard issues with this exact problem. The fix was to replace it. I would contact LG support ASAP and get it to a service rep before the 1 year warranty runs out. Good luck!
