Question about Roxio DVDit Pro 6 Professional DVD Authoring for PC (230100)

Quick Book Pro 2008 problem

I have tried everything to get my QB to work after downloading. I can download it but when I double click the icon it says that it has to shut down. I have turned off everything running in the background that I can think of but just keep getting the same problem. I have downloaded, and uninstalled several times with no change I have also been on the phone to tech support and they are as baffled as I am. I tried loading it onto another computer with NO other QB on it and it worked fine. Something on this computer that I really want it on is not working. any ideas? I have been on the site and done all that they suggest with no change. I have a week before my other one will not work.... I am desperate to resolve this issue. Thanks for any help

We know the software is fine because we tried it on another PC right? What I would do is free up some memory on the pc by doing a disc cleanup. Get rid of some stuff you have on the PC you don't use.
You may have 100 megs of temporary internet files that need to be dumped.Go into your virus protection device and select whatever it is on there that is preventing the software from working.

First off, I would get your money back from the download. Then go to Threatfire.com and run a security/virus scan to rid your computer of any trouble. Then go to a local office supply store or retailer and purchase a copy of this on CD. This should help you. Thanks and Happy new year

To uninstall the QB 2008 program. Click start menu then click control panel. Go to program and features icon and search the quickbooks 2008 program. Highlight it and click uninstall on top. Wait until the program will be uninstalled to your system.

I am trying to instal quickbooks pro 2008 but error 1603


Error 1603 is related to insufficient rights to install QB. Please follow these steps to resolve this issue. Assuming you have Win XP. 32 Bit OS.

1. Remove QB from Start>control panel>Add/remove programs. {IF YOU FIND ANY QB INSTALLED].
2. Rename all intuit folders to Intuit-old. You wil find these folders here:
  • C:\Program Files\Intuit
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intuit
  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit
  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Common Files\Intuit
3. Then install QB using QuickBooks.msi . You will find it inside QBooks folder in your QB disc. Right click on the DVD / CD drive and click Open/Explore. Then go to Qbooks folder, find Quickbooks.msi and then run it. Follow the wizard and then install it.

IF STILL ISSUE IS UNRESOLVED, THEN REMOVE AND INSTALL MICROSOFT .NET FRAMEWORK 2.0 SP2. To do it, please follow.

1. Download and install .NET removal tool from:

then save it and unzip it . Then run it. Select Allversions in the box where it will ask to remove .net framework from the computer.
2. Download .NET framework 2.0 SP1 and then install it . you can download it from:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=5b2c0358-915b-4eb5-9b1d-10e506da9d0f&displaylang=en
click on DOWNLOAD next to NetFx20SP2_x86.exe. download it and install it.
3. Restart your computer and then again install QB.


IF STILL YOU GET ANY ISSUE, REPLY WITH FOLL :
1. WINDOWS VERSION.
2. are you installing QB using a disc or downloading from the Internet?
3. Any Antivirus on the computer?

Error 7149 Quickbooks


Thanks, that worked! I first spent a half-hour on the phone with the non-tech support at Intuit and he walked me through that download. What the download does is update your original QB 2005 RC1 version to the RC9 version ("Release Candidate") where they've fixed some things (such as the Flash 7 install problem). Here's what we did:

1.) Removed Flash ActiveX 9 in Add/Remove Programs
2.) Downloaded webpatch from QB site (start here: http://www.quickbooks.com/Help...
3.) Closed QB (couldn't open it anyway)
4.) Installed patch.
5.) Restarted computer.
6.) QB worked!

Error message Library not registered


I got the message "Line 25: Library not registered" after uninstalling QuickBooks Pro 2009 and trying to run my old version of QB Pro 2006.

(I had installed 2009 version to upgrade my QB2006 Pro version but got into problems with multicurrency support not being supported in the Canadian QB Pro 2009.)

Fix is VERY easy and I think it applies to anyone trying to run an older version of QB Pro after uninstalling a newer version.

Fix is to find the file "reboot.bat" located in the program files associated with the older QB version.
In my case it was found in "C:/Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks Pro" folder.
Just double click on the file to run it. This file tells the system where parts of the QB program are located including the DLL libraries it needs. After running this file you should be able to run your old QB version OK. No rebooting necessary.

Quickbooks 2008 will not load, it says that it is installing and then goes to error 1325


Assuming you have Win XP, please follow these steps:
1. Remove QB from Control Panel>Add/remove programs.

2. First rename all folders of Intuit. rename Intuit to Intuit-old from the following locations.
  • C:\Program Files\Intuit
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intuit
  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit
  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Common Files\Intuit
3. Then disable your Antivirus / Online Security.
4. Then install quickbooks using quickbooks.msi . You will find quickbooks.msi in the foll location:
>right click on ur QB disc and click open/explore.
>Double click on QBooks folder and run quickbooks.msi and follow the wizard.

If you still get any more issues, please reply with following:
1. Which windows version you are using ?
2. Are you installing QB for the 1st time on this computer?
3. Did you install any other software rrecently ?

P.S : this issue may also be because of Microsoft .NET framework on your computer. PLease help me with your reply to help you.

I am using quickbooks premiere edition 2008 and when I try to do anything with adobe reader it fails. I really need to get reader working


Try uninstalling the Quickbooks PDF converter.

Open the printers folder:
  1. In Windows XP: Double-click Printers and Faxes.
  2. In Windows Vista: Under Hardware and Sound, click Printer.
  3. Right-click the icon for the QuickBooks PDF Converter and choose Delete.

    Quickbook will open but will not bring anything up


    Hold Ctrl key and click on QB icon.
    Also Alt+F4 may work

    Bank reconciliation locking up, printing locking up.


    In your list of printers, you will have one installed by QB called "QuickBooks PDF Converter". Do your reconcile and when it seems to lock up, open your list of printers from the control panel and open this QB printer. There will be a document waiting to print (not sure why, it might be internal to QB). Select that document and hit the delete key. That should free QB up to continue (works for me). You may need to select it and press Delete two different times to actually remove it from the printer. Finally, because it is not easy to open up Printers every time, make a shortcut on your quick launch or desktop to the Printers applet.

    Quick Book Pro 2008 problem


    I install the disk register it put the icon on the desktop then click to open it and it's like a flash of lightening. I have turned off everything running in the background that I can think of but just keep getting the same problem.
