Washer stopped during rinse cycle.

Washer stopped during the rinse cycle and checked for the switch on the lid. I stuck a screwdriver down on the right side where the switch is and there is nothing there. I am trying to gain access to the switch, how can I do this with a full load of water?

If possible, you can drop the hose to floor level and gravity will drain the water. You may need a hose extension. The other option is to pan the water out. What is the model number of your unit?

SOURCE: Washer continuously fills but drains at the same time during rinse cycle.

you have the drain pipe too low into tthe house drain pipe, raise the washers drain pipe up , you only need four inches down into the hous drain

also the house drain pipe needs to be as high as the lid of the machine before you put the washer drain tube into the house drain

you have a syphoning effect

Sounds like the motor may be bad but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance. If possible use the meter and the wiring diagram to check input/output voltages looking for discrepancies between the diagram and the actual meter readings.

SOURCE: Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

Kenmore model 23832100 washer will not spin in rinse cycle kenmore model 23832100 washer fills, agitates, and drains, but will not spin. Makes noise after draining. BUT if I manually turn off the machine...

Check door switch: If the lid switch is bad it will not drain or spin. Try this test: With lid open let it finish wash cycle. Press lid switch down with screwdriver. Washer should begin draining. Release switch. Motor should stop. Press switch a second time. Washer should start spinning as it continues to drain. If motor doesn't come on while lid switch is pressed, replace the switch. OR

Washer stops during rinse cycle and beeps at me

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Lid Switch Assembly If the washer stops mid cycle the lid switch assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any electrical switches with an Ohm meter for continuity. The switches should have continuity according to their design
Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly If the washer stops mid cycle the door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design.
Water Inlet Valve If the washer stops mid cycle the water inlet valve cold water side may have failed. Most washers have a cold water rinse and so if they can't fill with cold water they just sit indefinitely waiting for the cold water to enter. If there is cold water to the water inlet valve and the cold water works in other parts of the cycle - or to make warm water - the valve is not the problem.

Main Control Board If the washer stops mid-cycle the main control board might be defective. This is not common. Check other causes first such as the lid or door switch and other components.

Timer If the washer stops mid cycle the timer might be defective. This part is often misdiagnosed, check other components before replacing this timer.

Washer won't spin during rinse cycle. agitates fine during was cycle.

The lid switch is probably your culprit. the washer won't spin or drain if the lid switch is defective. Try pushing down on it with a pen or small screwdriver and see if it will spin then. There should be a slight clicking nois when it is activated, although it will sometimes click even though it is not working.

During rinse cycle, washer just stopped, and won't continue rinsing/drain/finish

Have you tried restarting the cycle? If so, does it stop at the same exact place in the rinse cycle? If so, the issue is most likely the timer mechanism (cycle control) that needs replacing.
If it doesn't stop at the same place, it may be a flaky lid switch.

Will not spin on any rinse cycle

Hi, This washer does not have a belt. While the washer is agitating, if you lift the lid will it stop? Some models will agitate but not spin if the lid is up. It sounds to me like the lid switch might be going bad.
If you will get me a model #, I can look this up for you and give you a better idea.

Washer stopping mid-cycle

Push down on lid. You may have a bad lid switch. Start machine and press the switch down with something like a screwdriver and see if the motor runs.
