Question about IBM ThinkPad T40 2379 Notebook
when i turn on my r50e ibm logo wait for about 1 minute and do nothing and hdd is off. after 1 min hdd is turned on and continue the boot normally and i have no problem else.
i restored the bios to default
i updated bios
i changed the windows
i change the bios battery
i changed the ram
i removed the hdd
but this problem(waiting for 1 min before boot) is exist.
Your PC may be doing a complete memory check, this does take time although your 1 minute boot time might make some of us jealous.
Check your BIOS settings to see if you have a 'Fast Boot' option. If it does, make sure you are using it. It then will make only a cursory check of memory and it is probably OK otherwise you would have other symptoms that would let you know.
