SOURCE: Kenwood TS-450S won't load on new 20M dipole.

Surely you've checked connections, etc.----could balun have gone bad? Also are you using an external tuner? Lots of MFJ tuners will "screw up" once in a while. Open it up and inspect it

I have a KENWOOD TS-940SAT HF Transceiver that powers up with the TX indicator on, no power output and no receive.

Very little information about the situation of the transceiver is provided, it might be a complex one. The Kenwood TS-940SAT features a built-in automatic antenna tuner covers the amateur bands 160 through 10 meters. It is advisable for you to reinstall the transceiver and follow the right set up step to see if it works out eventually.

Have sirius and hands free phone features with sirius antennae. I do not get good signals from local FM or AM Radio stations. Why?

Sirius is a satellite biased service , so it uses a satellite antenna , local stations how ever don't use that antenna and use a dipole antenna , are both type antenna's connected to your radio , lots of installers don't bother to connect local antenna to new radio installs , im mean you got Sirius why'd you want local stuff anyway is there thinking

How can a make an equivalent to a Telex St 200 1/2 wave dipole antenna?

it is either 72MHz or 216MHz. There r a lot of utube videos on DIY Dipoles but u must change the length to match the frequency.
A VHF TV antenna will work for 72. Length = 39" each side-- 216MHz is going to be 13" - total will be about 80" and 28"
The issue is the matching xformer. A dipole presents 300 ohm impedance. The 200 is a 50 ohm Z. a typical TV matching xfmr is 300 to 75 so u will have to build the right one of maybe find one in a HAM store.

The best way is to get an after-market antenna that's compatible with the radio from your local ham shop, or online at HRO's website.

Show me a pictorial diagram of a dipole antenna connected to a stereo reciever

You didn't list your receiver model number, but here's a generic picture of how you would connect an indoor FM dipole antenna to a Kenwood receiver. These antennas should be available at most home improvement stores or from Radio Shack. They cost around $10.00, maybe less.

Depending on your model, you may have use some adapters. Ask the store staff for help.
