I have a 3 yr old Kenmore Elite Mdl #795-75553401 with the bottom freezer. This morning, we found the freezer drawer won't shut and seal. It seemed especially apparent on the left side (as you face it), which had about a 3/4" gap. I removed the food and did not see any ice on either of the glide rails. The drawer seemed to close better w/out the food, but still didn't seem to seal. I replaced the food and was back to square one. There is about 10 - 15 lbs of food in the drawer. Any suggestions?
I have a similar problem. upon close inspection, the left rail (which is a 2 part sliding mechanism) is sliding forward. The "rear" piece is supposed to stay in the back and does so by a plastic "tab" that protrudes out from a plastic rail. it had broken. when the freezer gets cold as it should, the 2 pieces of rail stick to each other instead of the forward piece sliding out and the back piece staying back. you may have to remove the door (usually 2 or 4 screws) to get far enough in to see what is going on.
hope this helps.
Has something fallen behind the drawer, and is preventing it from sliding back all the way? Remove the drawer by pulling it all the way out and lift it up and out. Look for anything that has fallen back there.

Thanks. I did look back there originally, but saw nothing. For some reason, it now works. Don't know what I did. Perhaps it was some ice that melted while I was working on it.
