CE stands for Clear Entry. It clears the number that one just entered. To clear the results of a previous calculation use the key AC, if calculator has one. Otherwise try pressing the CE key twice or enter 0, because that is what the clear button will do.

Hi....

The C key will clear just your last entry. The CA key will clear everything, so you would have to start over from the beginning.

It doesn't have one. The calculator keeps track of whether you've hit a digit-entry key since you last pressed a function key. If you haven't, then the calculator computes the value and displays it. If you have hit a number-entry key, it stores the value. Thus, when the book says something like "press CPT then press PMT", you just need to press PMT.

Immediately after entering the year part of the date, the display should revert back to a blinking first digit (in this case, the 0 to the left of the 8) while retianing all the following digits just entered. Simply press the Time/Date key again to lock in that date and stop the blinking. The same process applies for the time.

To clear the display of the time/date when using the calculator to actually compute something, press the C or CE button. This will result in a 0 appearing on the display. The unit is now ready for data entry.
