Mp810 paper feed issue

Paper from the top feed tray pulls in a little then kicks back out and gives a paper feed jam error message and won't clear untill printer has been turned off and let sit for a few minutes. performed clean the bottom plate function basically applying extra force on the paper so the roller would feed it in. did same with roller cleaning. now doesn't seem to want to draw in paper. any ideas or previous experience???

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

Remove jammed print media from the specified location. Check the entire paper path for other pieces of media in the path. 2. Open and close the top cover to clear the message. 3. Check sensors and flags in the paper path for proper operation. 3.0 PAPER JAM [LOCATION] A non-specific paper jam occurred. 1. Remove jammed media from the specified location. 2. How to clear paper jam copier printer

The message Paper Jam may appear on the display if the Brother machine is not feeding paper correctly, paper scraps have become stuck in the print head path, the paper is not loaded properly in the paper tray, the jam clear cover located in the back of the machine, is not installed properly or the PE Actuator is missing or damaged.

To resolve this issue, please follow the steps listed below:

  1. Disconnect the machine from the power supply.
  2. Turn the unit around and remove the Jam Clear Cover from the back of the machine by grasping it at the Center and pulling it straight away from the rear of the machine.
  3. Look for any paper scraps, jammed paper or foreign objects in the rear of the unit. If anything is found, remove it. Be carefull not to touch the feed roller.
3. Remove the paper tray feeder from the front and look inside for bits of paper and check the paper is flat in the tray.

4. Replace tray and back cover and all should be fine.

The paper jam indicator on in error?

So it sounds like the machine is not feeding paper from the paper cassette. This is a common problem.
There are 2 possibilities. 1 easy and one a little tougher. The simple fix is cleaning the paper feed tires. Just pull out the paper cassette, then remove all the paper. You will see 2 felt type pads on the spring loaded metal plate. Spray these 2 pads with some glass cleaner. Dry the metal plate a little then lock the plate down and re-install the cassette without paper! Make sure the lower tray is selected for paper feeding and press the print button. The machine should try to feed a few times then shut down with a P in the display. Reset the P using the clear key then press print again. Repeat this procedure 5 or 6 times. Then remove the tray, dry the pads a bit then re-load the paper, re-install the tray and give it a try. If dirty feed rollers were the cause then this procedure will fix it. Let me know how this works out.
Thank You for using Fixya

Error message keeps appearing "paper jam in tray 2" although there is definitely no paper jam.

If you did not get ALL the jammed sheet out, there is still a small piece of paper in there somewhere, probably covering a sensor or micro switch. Get a torch and look carefully. If you don't find anything you may need to disassemble the printer to find it.

HP 6210 All-In-One

Open up the top and look into the cartridge/paper print area. Look in the corners, Sometimes little pieces of paper can still be stuck there. Once you are convinced that the paper and cartridge path is clear then...

Pull out the paper tray. Look inside the opening. If there is paper there then pull it out.

Take all of the paper out of the paper tray.
Turn it over (paper on top is now on the bottom of the tray)

Try it now.

Hp laserjet 4250n paper jam in 13.01.00

According to the manual: "A 13.01.00 error message indicates that the media did not arrive at the pre-feed sensor (PS102) within the specified time." That usually means that the rollers fail to pickup the paper from Tray 2. Usually, cleaning the paper feed roller in the 500 sheet tray should fix this. While blowing out dust, you may have coated this roller with paper dust. A quick way to double check this is to power cycle the printer & try to print from Tray 1, the MP feeder tray (unless Tray1 has rarely or never been used...it might be a little tempermental as well). Regardless, this error is very common & is usually fixed by cleaning. Depending on usage, this roller is considered a customer replacable item (Part # RM1-0037-000CN) with a life expectancy of more than 200,000 pages. There are 3 of that type roller in the printer, but the one in the tray is usually the 1st one to fail. Hope this helps!
