Question about Microsoft Windows Media Player

I found something in my car. Is it a tracking devece? what is it?

I was cleaning out my car the other day, and i found this strange device under the back seat. It's a
AirIQ cmdm-2000

I looked it up everywhere I could and I couldn't really find much information on it, everthing i did find was written in smart people language(A language I'm not very fluent in)

What I was able to make outthough (at least i think) was that it's a t racking device that taps cellphone calls(but i'm probably way off.

I'd like to know what this thing is, and if it was supposed to be in my car or if(this crazy person i know) put a tracking device in my car.

Thank you for your help!

It's a CVDM-2000, manufactured by CSI Wireless Technologies, a Calgary, Alberta tech company, and used by AirIQ Inc. for vehicle tracking. It is not a consumer device, but rather is used for commercial transport trucking and rental vehicle tracking. If your car was purchased used, it may have been a rental car originally. Otherwise, someone is trying to track you. This is not a MobileIQ (consumer) AirIQ device, as they did not use that model, therefore, the person is probably a (former) employee or a friend of one. Spooky.

And btw, the CVDM-2000 only supports AMPS, which is the cellular network in use before digital. It was shutdown last February 28th across North America. Therefore, it is unable to track anything right now (i.e. don't worry about it actually tracking you; it's a dead unit).

From what I can tell it's a gps locater. If you don't have a built in gps in your car you should it to your local police department. Don't touch it though because of fingerprints. It seems like someone with internet access can see where you are at all times. CREEPY

good luck

You can call this number 1-888-606-6444 and ask them what the device is. That is the toll free number for the manufacturer.

I have a Fostex DMT-8vl 8 track digital recorder. Can I dump the tracks to Acid Music Studio 7 or Acid Pro 7 to save what I recorded in the Fostex 8 track, and will it go into seperate tracks? Thanks...

You can copy. You cannot just dump the file data. Unless you have an audio interface with multiple inputs, you can only copy 2 tracks at a time. Also, to sync the timing you'll need a midi port on the computer. Then you make the computer the "master" and the Fostex a "slave" device.

Also try reconverting your used recordings and mp3's as well, i found that helped as well.

Itunes wont recognize my iphone

I see. maybe and this is more than sure ...this new update of the program doesn't have the drivers for the device ..or its an incomplete program ...or ..a trial ...if you can not do anything . just roll back to the old program ...and see if it works...if the problem persist try to look for a driver to install... I mean the phone driver but ...I believe its something strange cause it should have seen it like a storage device and at least work the charger

if i understand it right, you recorded for example 2 tracks. recorded A then recorded B then you synced them together? if so, my bet would be adjusting the volume for each giving them balance. your master volume is your guide on this. hope this works.

Have EasyCap video capture device and vista x86

I have windows vista and my drivers load fine. Plug in the unit and the drivers load. I have the 4 camera easycap and the VCR easycap. Install drivers first before plugging in the unit. Restart computer, plug in unit, check device manager if there is a stk1150 loaded under image. My problem is getting small files from the recordings. I converted 2 mins of my daughters dance solo and it turned out 1.7gb AVI file without sound. Changing the options to mpeg or WV files will crash the program becuase something doesn't match. I need to play with it more to understand it better.

press F4 to open device panel. there you must be able to select inputs and out puts fromyour alesis interface.
be in stereo or mono(check your alesis specifications to know how many mono and stereo inputs it has.
then when you create a new track on the right side of the sequencer window. you must see a input and uut put routing tab
so if you whant to record voice in one track select the inputs where your mic is plug
create a new track and select the other input
so for shure it will say alesis INPUT 1
alesis INPUT 2
alesis INPUT 3
and so on depending on how many inputs your devices haves.
you say it haves 2. but
are they 2 only in stereo
or two in mono
or one mono+one moni+one mono+mono
for a total of 4 inputs in mono mode and 2 in stereo mode.
i dont know witch device you have so i cant tell.
if you have any questions let me know

Sonar 6 Producer - palyback quality issue

I had this problem today whilst installing Sonar on my new laptop. It wasn't the click track. It was the playback glitching, clicking and rattling. I put the buffer size to maximium but it was still happening.

I got round it by downloading the latest version of ASIO4all (2.9 beta4) and installing it. I then opened Sonar 6, options, audio, advanced, then selecting ASIO in the driver mode drop down box. Then I closed Sonar and reopened it.

If you use one device for recording and playback it should work now but if like me you use seperate devices or if it doesn't work click, options, audio, general, ASIO panel, advanced options. Here you can select your inputs and outputs. Play around a bit here. Mine worked when the output of the playback device was selected and both the input and output of the recording device was selected.

ASIO4all sorted out my latency issues as well.

Hope it helped.
