Question about RCA WSP155 Main / Stereo Speaker

Transmitter light does not come on

I just purchased RCA 900Mhz Wireless speaker/headphones combo at CTC and transmitter light will not stay on for the wireless speakers. I returned one and got a second but light still will not stay on if plug is all the way in. It flickers as you push in but seems to be no spot where it will stay on. Any advice would be helpfull. Power light will not come on in the base unit.  No signal is going to the speakers.

My transmtter has worked fine for three years until it was moved recently to another location. Same problem. The green LCD light comes on briefly when you plug it in then goes off. I took the until apart but found no visible problems. I am looking into ordering a new transmitter unless someone knows of another solution? Thanks.

I would suggest to double check the audio source that is getting into your RCA 900MHz Wireless transmitter. If you do not hear anything on the headphones it means that there is not audio getting into the transmitter.

Sylvania wireless headphones

Instructions
1
Set up the transmitter. Wireless headphones rely on a transmitter that sends audio via infrared or radio waves to your headset. Use the digital audio output (coaxial or optical), RCA outputs (red and white) or headphone jack on your TV to connect the transmitter. The connection will depend upon which outputs are available on your TV and/or the transmitter.
2
Use an RCA-to-headphone adapter. If you don't have a headphone jack on your TV and the transmitter includes only a headphone connection, connect an RCA-to-female headphone connector. This will allow you to plug the wireless transmitter into the female headphone end and then hook the RCA ends into your television's audio outputs. You may also need a 3.5 mm (mini jack)-to-1/4-inch adapter if the headphone plug on the transmitter doesn't match the television jack.

3
Set the transmitter on top of, or next to, the television. For infrared transmitters, you'll need a direct path between the headphones and the transmitter. Placing the transmitter on or near the TV will allow you to take advantage of the clear path you already have.
4
Plug in the transmitter and turn it on. Charge the headphones if necessary.
5
Turn on the headphones. Adjust the volume and settings and you're ready to watch TV.

I have the speakers and power adapter but i can not find the transmitter....can i purchase the transmitter only..??

any transmitter will work by RCA..... The one for the WHP141 works just fine and that headphone set w/transmiter is about 19$ on Ebay as well as other places, be aware that the transmitter will not transmit UNTIL the sound source is hooked up and the sound is high enough to trigger the transmitter into working..... do not expect the green light to come on simply because it is plugged in, because it wont.....also if the sound is not high enough from the source the sound will cut in and out......notice also that the transmitter power supply is the 19 Volt one, and the tip is - and the out side ring is the + reversed of what many after market power supplys are.........the cool thing is the gain of a set of decent head phones as well as being able to use the speakers.....so many people fail to even READ the instructions and think that the units are defective because the green light does not stay on when pluged in......pays to read.....

Help----i have aw825 wireless speaker and a yamaha rx-v730--how do i connect the two?

You need to connect a stereo out from the amplifier to the transmitter for the speaker. I believe the speaker unit comes with the required adapters which will probably be rca/phono's to stereo mini-jack.

Audio output jacks

If I remember this tv correctly, check under the audio setting in the menu, most tv's including this on have variable output for the audio o/p. meaning the the o/p vol. is adjusted as the tv speaker vol. changes. some tv's will put out a fixed audio o/p to the rca jacks, but will only do this when the speakers are shut off in the menu (not muted, but off). I have run into this problem many times & have yet to find a better solution to getting a steady sound sound out of the o/p jacks.
