What program are you using to download the pics? Is it the same program you are trying to download the videos to? It probably only handles still photos, not movies. You could use a card reader and download the videos to a folder you create on your desktop and then use a program like Windows Media player or something that came with your camera to watch them.
Sending videos to others through e-mail is discouraged. They are extremely large files, take forever to upload, forever to download (especially if your friends have a dial-up connection), and some ISP's won't even permit the upload or download because of the size. To share, burn the videos to DVD and pass them out to friends or upload the videos to an online site that your friends can log onto.
For capturing movies in the Camera, turn the mode dial of the Camera to the Movie position. Click here to open the handbook Manual of the Camera. Refer to page # 18 of the manual for the information on selecting the movie mode for shooting movies using the mode dial.
I have the same camera :)
I use windows.
But I believe the procedure is same.
If using SD card reader in your laptop:
Open the SD card and download the movie files.
This camera stores a thumbnail (which is a picture of the movie file) and a .mov (Quicktime movie) for each movie you click.
Here is the manual for the camera
hi sir.. please plug in to the computer.. see whether that the file shows the properties if i shows the memory details . u can copy and play in computer. usind the pc suite of media player. to play.. thank's sir
You do not need software. Take SD card out of camera and place into card reader on pc. Drag movie files onto desktop or folder of your choice. At this point you simply need to change the file extension on your recorded movies to ".mpeg"
