Question about Casio Exilim EXZ75 Digital Camera

Holding the battery in place

I have a Casio EXILIM EX-Z75;
Battery compartment, there is a broken "arm or finger" that holds the battery in the slot. Is there anyone who might be able to direct me to where I can get it fixed? I also have a problem with battery charging just like everyone else, I will call to get a replacement.

The battery (NP-20) for my Casio Exilim EX-Z75 is not charging. The light on the charger is continuously flashing red; had for approx 1yr, no prior problems. Please help! I have the exact same problem...

Okay I just fixed this on my camera the same thing. First make sure your battery is charged. You will need to get a paper clip. Take the battery out and unfold the clip so that you can use it to pull up the contacts between the battery positive and negative and the camera. The conductors need to touch the positive and negative on the battery. If you battery is dead you will need to do this as it will not charge your battery on the cradle becaue there was no connection. over time I think that the battery loses its connection and the spring is not strong enough to push up the battery far enough. I ordered a battery charger and new battery and it still didnt work so I started to tinker with it. I held the battery with my finger pushing it up and holding it, and simaltaneuously powered on the camera. Thats when I figured it wasnt the battery but it wa the connection with the battery and the camera.

hope that helps
