What does power down pc and plug in cabkes for gpus mean, even though they are already plugged in bad card?

Added a new graphics card? Today, high-end gaming graphic cards (GPUs) need separate power from the computer's power supply; they take more power than the motherboard can give them through the connector under the card. Your power supply should have separate connectors that match what's on the new video board.

Shut your computer down, pull the plug, open it up, and connect the power supply to the card, and then you'll be fine.

No power suply

Do you mean what power supply to install inside of the computer? There is no power supply that plugs into the back of a desktop computer. If you are talking about what power plug goes into the back, Then any pc 3 slot female plug should work. The link below should give you an idea. If the link doesn't show, Then search for "computer power cords"

Computers

Power Supplies usually don't get faulty. Sometimes my BIOS would get stuck & I plug the Lithium Battery (Coin Cell) out and plug it back in & Everything works fine. For example this problem is like having a USB storage stuck at copying/deleting something and you have to PULL IT OUT and PLUG IT IN to make it work again. Sometimes this type of problem may occur with SATA Cables, the one who connect motherboard with harddisk. Sometimes the ram would get faulty. Process remains the same. In 10 Years of my computing history I don't remember facing any problems with Power Supply Unit.

Hope this is revelant.

I accidentally plugged computer avr 220v to 110 could it affect my power supply

If the computer power supply is a 240 volt unit and you plugged into 110 volt mains the the computer should be OK.
Some power supplies have a voltage selection switch on the back of the power supply switch to 110 volts and it should work.
If the power supply is 110 volts and you plug it into a 240 volts mains then you will damage the power supply and possibly the computer as well.

Hello,

These monitors use an external power adapter that plugs into the VGA plug. Look at the the VGA plug that goes to the computer, it has a small round power socket on the back of the plug. Here is a link to a power adapter that will work with the unit.

Bios setup does not show sata HD windos xp find them

Hi,
I have had problems like this many times with some of my IBM machines. What i find most often the reason the bios will not recognize them is because the hard drive has gone bad.
Troubleshooting 1. Unplug power cable from computer before doing anything inside of the computer. Unplug sata cable from motherboard and hard drive. Unplug power cable from hard drive.
Plug the sata cable back into the motherboard and into the hard drive. Plug the power cable back into the hard drive. Plug the power cable back into the computer.
Boot computer and enter bios(by pressing F8, Enter, Del ect..) Does the hard drive show in there now?
2. If you have another hard drive.
Unplug power cable from computer before doing anything inside of the computer. Unplug sata cable from hard drive. Unplug power cable from hard drive.
Plug the sata cable into the second hard drive. Plug the power cable into the second hard drive. Plug the power cable back into the computer.
Boot up the computer and enter the bios. Does this hard drive show in the bios? If so then i would say that your original hard drive has gone bad.

My computer is blinking orange light

In addition to the power supply, motherboard issues can cause the blinking power light and no boot problems. The Optiplex 270, 520, 620, 745 and 755 units are all known to have issues with capacitors on the motherboard. Here is a link to an article about this issue and what to do about it:

My Lexmark x9350 only turns on and off if I plug and unplug...

This, probably, is a power issue on the printer. Unplug the printer from the computer. Unplug the power supply from the printer (it's the black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached). Try not to use any power strips or extensions for the power cord. If possible, plug the power cord straight to the wall outlet. With the power cord plugged in straight to the power outlet, plug the power supply back in the printer. That should refresh the printer. When everything's powered on, plug printer to computer. Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks.

Compaq computer speakers

Make sure that you have the correct power supply for the speakers. If you are connecting them to a desktop, look for the light green 1/8 plug on the back of the computer. Again, make sure that you have the power supply that came with the speakers. Do not plug the power supply in until you connect the 1/8 plug from the speaker to the light green plug on the back of the computer.
