I found a 18V Powerglide battery at AceHardware.com and they say that it will fit ANY 18V Powerglide tool. Their part number is 2103992 and list price is 23.99. However I would strongly recommend that you look at the battery online to make sure it will match up. This is allthe information I can find. Good Luck

Battery will not hold charge

This is an indication of memory in a battery or failing battery in the pack. Batteries should be run until they are flat then recharged and never recharged when they are part charged as they develop a memory of that charge point that the charger cannot overcome and will not charge past. If the battery in a pack has failed then there are battery re-acker shops that can replace batteries in a pack cheaper than a new battery unit and most probably with better batteries.

Just bought a new drill and battery not holding a charge

Batteries sometimes get like yours, after a full charge they last only a couple minutes on the tool. It's usually because of a bad cell in the battery. The only fix is to replace the battery. If you just bought it, take it back for an exchange of the battery or whole tool kit. If the retailer you bought it from won't exchange it contact the company it came from to find out how to get the battery replaced under their warranty.

Makita 1822 battery not holding charge

If the Makita battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

I have a Ryobi 18v drill with battery 130429002 that will not hold a charge. Expensive battery with very little use. Can you help?

If both batteries won't hold a charge the problem may be the charger (not providing a full charge). If one battery is OK and one not holding a charge, the problem is probably a defect with the battery. I know there expensive, (I recently had to replace one for DeWalt).

My makita 18v 2.0 battery won't keep a charge

How old is the battery?
They have a service life and require replacing after they no longer hold a charge. This could be 2 years or 8 years depending on how often it is used and how regularly it is charged etc.

If it is a new battery, then take it back as it could be defective.

Possibly could also be the charger but you could verify that by charging a different battery and seeing if it charges that second battery ok, or not.
