Steps to troubleshoot Epson Printer error code W-11
Step 1: Replace the printer cartridge
The very first step is to replace the cartridge. If you see that this error code remains as usual even after a replacement has been properly placed inside the printer then, the most probably it signifies that the cartridge was inaccurately installed. To replace the cartridge, perform the following instructions:
§The very first thing is that the Epson printer and its software will let users know when an ink cartridge is in low or expended state.
§If it is found that the ink cartridge is expended then, an automatic message will appear on the printer's LCD screen asking users to replace
§It will further perform a proper printing process, copying as well as the scanning in a smooth way.
§Make sure that you have kept the ink cartridges out of the reach of children.
§Keep a note that you won't be able to copy, scan or print whenever an ink cartridge is expended even if the other cartridges are not expended. So, it is recommended for users to replace the expended cartridges before copying, scanning, or printing process.
§Keep a track when you are working with Windows system to check whether black ink is low or there is more color ink than black ink. A user will get an error message when to print from their computer device.
§The next thing what a user needs to do is simply to save black ink by using a mixture of colors. This message will only appear if a user has selected the "Plain Paper/Bright White Paper" optionas the paper type and the "Text' as the Quality Option setting.

It is a very common Error in Epson printer as it is related to ink cartridge Error Code W-11 in Epson Printer is related to the installation or problem with cartridge. The cartridge might have gone empty that is why the printer is not able to print. If so, replace your cartridge with a new one according to your choice. One more cause can be a reason to this problem. The cartridge isn't installed properly due to which the printer cannot read/detect the presence of cartridge. Detach the cartridge and reinstall it properly.

I ad tried all kinds of things after looking all over the internet for a solution. Finally, I found out what the problem was. The little metal clips inside that make contact with the chip... One had fallen out of place and was laying at the bottom on the print well. I retrieved it, cleaned it, carefully reinstalled it, replaced the cartridge in question and it started charging right away.

Chances are the mechanism to recognize the ink cartridges is already damage and it may cause a lot having it replaced. I suggest to get a new printer instead specially if you have tried reseating the ink cartridges several times and won't work still.

You are having a hardware problem with the printer, the sensor is damaged. call epson @ 5622761300 for replacement ink and printer.

Go to printers and faxes, and uninstall the printer.

You actually can scan documents when you dont have ink. Instead you will have to activate the scan function from the epson driver/program instead of pressing the scan button directly on the printer. I had the same problem and it took a while to figure out.

keenepadgl, "Contact service engineer" for a C60 used to be all you could do. Now you can go to SSC Service Utility and download it. But the red light blinking (if that is all that is happening) simply means you have a ink cartridge that is low but not empty. If the red light stays on, then it means a ink cartridge is empty. By downloading SSC Service Utility you can solve about any problem you have with a C60. That's what the "Service Engineers" use. Check out the protection counter reset in SSC, that is the main reason people had to send their C60s to have serviced., and what service would do is press the reset button in SSC program. NOTE: I would go to inkmizer and get some cleaning fluid instead of nail varnish remover.
